Pave The Earth, a 17-track compilation released by A&M Records in 1990, was for promotional use only, so copies are few and far between. Because of the diversity of the artists on the comp, from Soundgarden to Suzanne Vega, Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms, it's likely that any radio station that got a copy hasn't given it away. The track list is as follows:
  1. Soul Asylum - Easy Street
  2. Soundgarden - Fresh Deadly Roses
  3. Extreme - Get the Funk Out
  4. David Baerwald - Stranger
  5. Suzanne Vega - Men In A War
  6. Zachary Richard - Too Many Women
  7. Del Amitri - Nothing Ever Happens
  8. Blues Traveler - But Anyway
  9. The Neville Brothers - Brother Jake
  10. John Hiatt - Through Your Hands
  11. Sun Ra - Purple Night Blues
  12. Trip Shakespeare - The Slacks
  13. Groove B Chill - Where Were You
  14. Robyn Hitchcock - Birdshead (Live)
  15. Gin Blossoms - Cajun Song
  16. Intelligent Hoodlum - Keep Striving
  17. Joe Henry - Helena By The Avenue

Soundgarden contributed "Fresh Deadly Roses," written by Chris Cornell, to this compilation. It also appears on the Loud Love and Loudest Love EPs.
