Don't make the mistake of calling this music "metal." Heavy, sure; few bands can push a riff to the speaker-shredding extremes these guys achieve on any given chorus. Instead of the rigid rhythms and monolithic structures most metal bands seem locked into, however, songs like "Outshined" or the constantly churning "Somewhere" are as rich in texture and dynamics and prime Led Zep (to cite another heavy non-metal band) and every bit as stunning. Hear and believe.
