Whoa! Slow down a minute here.
First, how on earth did you manage to score a copy of this before October
(Or is it one of those mag's that's like a month ahead of everything?)
Secondly, I do believe it says "Third biest band in grunge". Err. ahem: 1st
Best, with Flying Colors (For those who disagree, please bear with me). And
what's with the incoprehensiveness of the whole article??!?!
By the way, this is not a flame, just a very harsh critiscism on the Mag
review.
Have fun peoples

Hey y'all,

For those going to see the almighty Chris in concert, is anyone planning on
taping it? If so, would you be interested in a tape tree? If anyone is
interested, albeit I can't be the trunk, I volunteer myself to be a branch,
not a leaf :) For more info on tape trees, go check out

You are right Marco...
it=B4s a shame you can hardly find something interesting in the official site=
.
For instance take a look at cornucopia what do you find there? A few lines
of a song...I don=B4t know in English but in latin cornucopia means abundance=

plenty of something...in this case it was supposed to be full of
information...
I consider Deb=B4s site as the official Chris Cornell site...

I know I'm a little late with this tidbit but, I'm just catching up on my
mail -- modem crashed. Anyway, there is a free version of Real Player G2, at
least it was there a few days ago. It was a pain to download. I had to
uninstall the old version and media player and one other thing which led to
the unfortunate temporary demise of my modem. The link to the free version
is in fine print just above the BIG HUGE GIGANTIC link to the version you
have to pay for.

I love the new picture! This should have been the cover of EM. EM is a
"blues" CD and this picture can fit with almost all the songs. When he
sings about Jeff Buckley (Wave Goodbye) you can see him saying these
words as he sits there in this lonely place.....

Try to stand up strong and brave when all you want to do
Is lay down and die
How long I've waited for an answer or a sign
Lonely and weary from this troubled task of trying
To wave goodbye

EM is not Soundgarden and I love it...

here's a smart reporter. Has a Piano, must be Elton John. i dont hear an
ounce of Elton in this song whatsoever! Elton wishes he had that type of
vocal range. I hear more... Patsy Cline in the emotional onslaught than
anything else, but i've never been too keen on R&B artists. [and i know Patsy
wasn't R&B, but i just hear hints of a certian song who's name i dont know
but could sing a line for you if you needed me to... "the only difference //
i've got your picture // she's got you...." ] There's more soul in that song
that in any Elton John piece. phooey on Q.

but, eh. just me.

ya, i dont think they were predictable. they changed alot from ultramega ok
and down on the upside. ultramega was like more satanic and stuff and when
i first bought it i thought it was another band. and then they got more
mature with every album.

That is true to a certain degree. Since Badmotorfinger was SG's last grunge
album. When they broke out the so called Grunge era thats when they really
became popular. I love BMF, LTL, and UMOK but I belive they found there
true style w/ SU and DOTU. Since BMF only came in 32nd (somewhere around
there) they are technically in 3rd. Its just the hard core fans like me and
the list that put them in first.

Subject: Chris on MTV Video..

Hey y'all

Go to MTV.com and then the headlines section, and at the 1:30 minute mark or
so, you'll see a brief clip of Chris' new video, and Chris saying how he
doesn't care about making a video ("If I didn't have to be in a video, I
wouldn't be in it"). There's that Chris we all love.

Here's a fast URL for y'all to feast on. I think you must need that dreaded
RealPlayer though. Ha, I have a 56k and it seems fine for streaming net
video to me..

http://www.mtv.com/mtv/realmedia/playra.cgi?/mtv/news/real/daily.rm

And for the one's still on Arpanet, the short clip on Chris' video has Chris
sitting in a kitchen, head against a wall singing the first verse on CCM. I
personally thought that the video would have Chris in some office type
environment, as possible a mail boy, and his boss is like, Nicole Kidman and
forces him to have wild, dirty sex with him. No wait, that's my fantasy. Ah
shit.

To the newbie. My suggestion is to lurk for a while, get a feel of the list.
A lot of people would flame you for posting something totally redundant to
Soundgarden, such as myself, but hang in there.

Dave
