I know. I realized right after I sent that, but by then the damage was
done. I was right about "The Cask of Amantillado", though, wasn't I?

I'll post details as soon as I have something definite, but there are
some stirrings of activity. That's all I'm at liberty to say at this
point, but Ben is not sitting idle.

And congrats, Shroom!!!!

A new thread hey? Ok... so first we're not allowed to discuss other =
bands, fair enough, this is after all a Soundgarden list. But it's =
getting to be absurd when we can't discuss one of the band members!!! If =
we can't talk about Chris, why talk at all on this list? Geez!!!

What's stopping him from performing the whole of Europe for that matter?
(oh hell, let's throw in Australia as well :). My friend is the
organizer of this event, and Chris isn't confirmed to be performing
there to this date. It doesn't mean it couldn't happen, but I wouldn't
get my hopes up. That's all I can say at this point.

If anyone would like some more info on the tribute, please feel free to

Hello all. I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I'm gonna recommend an
album by another band. If you don't already have it I suggest you all buy(or
at least listen to) "Undertow" from Tool. I think it kind of has a feel
similar to BMF.
-Ryan-

p.s. In the subject I did warn everyone that this post isn't about
Soundgarden, therefore you didn't have to open it if you didn't want to. So
please don't flame me.

Well then, since this is about new music, i suggest you go out and get
the Reverend Horton Heats latest release called "Holly Roller". It's
kinda a best of type deal. A way you can connect the Reverend to SG is
this: Reverend opened for SG on the 94 tour... and in one of the Guild
guitar ads that Kim is on he is wearing a Reverend Horton Heat shirt
(http://www.sgi.net/soundgarden/images/guild.jpg). So go listen to the
Rev. they kick ass. if you don't want to get Holly Roller... go get any
album from "It's Martini Time" or earlier.

What a beautiful thought. I love the lyrics and now that you mention
Shakespear and Poe, yeah, I bet that's how they would have written a
rock song. Deeply, darkly poetic.

Kim had an unnatural attachment to that ratty TOOL shirt I think. You
would see it in photos and he wore it on tour! He is always such a stylist

I was just listening to the radio and they actually played CCM, but more
than that they plugged him and the new album. And, on Sept. 15 they are
going to be airing something from NY (I think) a live premier of his new
album. They promise that it won't just be him talking about what influenced
each song etc, then play the CD...instead they say they will be playing live
performances of the songs. Nifty. Look forward to seeing some of yall in
DC.

They did a Labatt Blue Blind Date gig in Toronto a few months after DOTU was
released. Reason they did the gig, free Labbatt beer products...
