Hey SOMM'sters,=20
I've noticed when listening to SU and DOTU frequently, CCM sounds like a =
pretty damn good song.. but after listening to BMF and earlier albums =
(And let's face it, BMF was perhaps one of the best albums) I'm am =
disgusted with CCM. It's weird, an ambigious feeling of loyalty towards =
Chris, but I get the feeling he's really losing his roots?
I know what I just said is incoherent. Basically I'm saying, listen to =
different types of SG before listening to CCM and see how you think of =
it then. This all ties in with the previous thread about track orders =
(By the way, I recommend listening to Outshined after New Damage).

1) Do you want to know how to save RealAudio 5.0 the program or the actual
file of flutter girl? Of the latter, just right click on the hyperlink for
it and click on 'save target as' (Or something similar for Netscape users).
Then pick a directory and bob's your uncle.
2.) Why not. It's not like SG really profit out of those video's anymore, we
as their loyal and dedicated fans deserve the video's. BRING EM ON!!

3.) Depends upon mood (As I"m sure you'll all agree, the likeness of a
particular SG song depends upon mood, due to the musical diversity). I
usually would prefer Karaoke however.
4.) Yes, I've heard it. (no comment on it however)

Now I've got a question:
As I understand it most musicians are getting into the net, and I reckon
Kim, being the SG member with the most time on his hands, should join the
list !#@$! It would make things so cool. Anyway.
-Mansel

(Awaits the flame for his question) =P

I tried that but it only saves some kind of little pointer file, not the
actual
song :( I'm using IE 4.0 under Win95. Can anyone help? If somebody out
there
has managed to save the song and is willing to email it directly to me, go
ahead
and thanks in advance.

For those of you who aren't fed up with the new website just yet, I
thought I'd let you know that the second Real Video installment is up
now (I think those webpeople are finally getting their timing right).
It's ok... not as ridiculous as the last one. At least Chris talks about
the new record this time, and how it isn't acoustic like everyone
thought it would be etc.

hey all, i've been lurking on this list for a couple of days....you know,
just to see what goes on....and now it's time to introduce myself;

i'm paul, 18, in england. music i like, well...a lot of stuff, from wes
montgomery, charlie parker, jeff buckley, dEUS, moondog jr, Nirvana, meat
puppets, melvins, pumpkins, korn, slipknot, limp bizkit, fear factory, zappa,
portishead, sonic youth.....most stuff that isn't mainstream....i'm not
trying to make myself sound "cool" by claiming to be some kind of
no-waver....but i find that most "mainstream" music is talentless, boring,
4-chord crap. and no, i don't think nirvana were mainstream. and no matter
how far i venture in my musical tastes i always come back to bands like sonic
youth, dEUS, beefheart, soundgarden, nirvana....i just feel they're the
truest forms of music.

unfortunately i haven't heard any of CC's new material...i don't have the
gift of mtv, but
i do have a few bootlegs to trade if anyone's interested (mail me).

(and i'm an art student....i'm not pretentious on purpose).

so, hey.
paul

ps, which came first, chris cornell singing "love's like suicide", or billy
corgan singing "love is suicide"?

The reason you can't save the file is cause real player is made NOT to
allow it. i emailed em once on it and they said that the reason you
can't download a real audio file is cause that would be breaking the
copyright laws and stuff.
