Sassy,
I have that MP3 so it does (or did) exist.
It was from a site called "temple of the garden"
but i know that they do not have any mp3s anymore.

In the spirit of Arden's song interpretation:

>i'm the worst newbie
Yes, you are the worst ever. We will make a shrine to worship how bad =
you have made yourself known on this list.

>i don't really care anything about this soundgarden news
>i just am using you all for your emails
I don't really have a conscious, so I'm going to flame the sh*t out of =
you.

>whoever posted that stuff about the soundgarden mp3s
>well.. i downloaded one.. and the quality sucked
I've got a nice little archive of SG mp3's, beautiful quality, and they =
are songs that I would not be able to buy anyway, so I'm not cheating =
Soundgarden.=20

>the song did give me a hardon though
I'm glad.=20

>so if you are a lonely sheep please respond
>i promise i won't shear you after you passout
Are you from New Zealand by any chance? =3DP (No offence to those on the =
list who are)

>from the miles and miles of lovin
>and i will even send a thank you note to little bo peep
Loving is not a metric quantity. If you want to put it metaphorically, =
don't.

>is it just me or does thorough soundgarden addiction to the point of =
joining the mailing list suck the >personality from your soul?
This list is the most adrenalin-pumping-rollercoaster-ride-of-joy list =
you'll find out there.=20

This, being just as irrelevant as the original one, I thought I'd add =
some SG content.=20

If Soundgarden were superheroes, who should be the leader? And what =
traits would they have?
-Mansel

P.S I'm trying to stir some humour, so play along. =3DP

Chris added some lyrics of his own into Helter Skelter. I had a hard time
interpreting them until this post. "All the children are insane, waiting for
the summer rain." I knew about the Manson murders but I had no idea that a
Beatles song could have influenced it.

Consider it a good thing that you could not phantom why that song would
lead someone to murder. Have you ever seen a Charlie Manson interview???
<twilight zone music> The guy is way way way out there! And if you start
understanding how that brain works...I'd be worried!
Chris just likes the Beatles and there are some great songs that have
held up well over the years. I always thought Soundgarden would of done a
good job on Back in the USSR and "Within you without you". Kim could of had
fun with weird guitar tunings to replace the sitar. Just dreaming. COME
BACK KIM!!!! toni

an interesting topic. to illustrate (pun intended) my point, i'll reduce each
members percieved character traits down to their essentials, then exacerbate
the hell out of them. ben would be the "dark, brooding" leader so prevailent
(and cliched) in modern comics (a la cyclopse of the x-men). chris would be
the ass kickin', ladies man like gambit. kim would be the zany prankster
(like that nightcrawler fella used to be in the '80's). matt would be the pro
(like a mixture of professor x and cable).

if nobody else (except grace) has any idea what i'm talking about , forget i
said anything.

thanks
charlie
p.s. i don't know that that's ever been thought of before. a new, very short
thread?

I like this new thread...enough to take time out of my own busy comic book
drawing day to throw in my two cents. Since I am a comic artist i think my
ideas could be influential here...

Since the X-men was just done i will go with more of a "Marvel Comics
Finest" kind of team...

Matt Cameron would be Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man.

Matt just has those "Peter Parker boy next door" looks and is all sinewy and
spindly with those muscular drummer arms which he could stick well to walls
with...

Ben Shepherd would have to be Frank Castle a.k.a. the Punisher.
Ben does have the dark, brooding traits of any popular comic book anti-hero.
He's been known to lash out at disgruntled fans and fight back when
"attacked" on stage. And i have definitely seen him go "postal" with his
guitar in concert...a master of dangerous, proficient, (and musical)
weaponry...

Kim Thayil would make the perfect Logan a.k.a. Wolverine.
Both are very hairy, of foreign descent (Indian in Kim and Canadian in
Wolvie), and both consume mass quantities of beer...(and Kim better have a
rapid healing factor after all those brews and cigarettes)

Chris Cornell is abit tougher to pin down but i would have to go with Tony
Stark a.k.a. Iron Man for two reasons...

One, with his short cropped hair from his Superunkown days and the trimmed
little mustache he just looks like the guy and both have those dashing
"Errol Flynn leading man" looks. And reason two, (this being more
subjective) the song "Iron Man" by the group, Black Sabbath, who in turn was
a heavy influence for Soundgarden, would be a good theme song for Chris to
sing as he flies around wooping ass on supercriminals everywhere in his hi
tech suit of armor. Just imagine Chris belting out Ozzie's Lyrics a'la 'Into
the Void' as he blasts the Crimson Dynamo or Mandarin with his power
gauntlets...

ZWAP!!!...

(oh yeah and Tony Stark went though a period of life as an alcoholic and I'm
sure Chris has done his share of Jack and Beam binge drinking...)

Excelsior! Flame on! and 'nuff said...

Joe Corroney

(hopefully this makes at least Charlie and Grace chuckle..)

Hi Igor,
"Come Together" was on the single "Hands All Over" w/ "Heretic" & "Big Dumb
Sex".
I've bought a japanese version of the EP "Loudest Love" where you can find
"Loud Love" "Hands All Over" "Get On The Snake" "Heretic" "Come Together"
"Fresh Deadly Roses" and "Big Dumb Sex (New Version)".
Hope I answered your question.
