Yeah, Ben was busy being in my dreams.

As for what Matt's doing, he *could* be involved in those Hater-esque
rehearsals John McBain mentioned, although John has yet to disclose just
who is on board right now.

I only get the digest so I dont read a few posts. I just wanted
to make sure everyone read the article with Matt on the modern drummer
pare (www.moderndrummer.com). I thought it was pretty amazing to read
that he would have to work again after the success of soundgarden.
Matt even wrote some of the songs, and that should give him additional
royalties. It is hard to believe management screwed them over for obvious
reasons. I cant imagine that they only got the typically 10% of the album
sales. I wonder, why they are so broke?
What is up w/ Chris and holidays? Off the top of my head I can
recall him singing about Xmas eve, halloween, and the 4th of July.

Hmm....this is pretty interesting. I live in Sweden and have a 'gold' cop=
y, whilst my friend has a yellow one. Both
of us have bought them in the same area in Sweden (and it was only six mo=
nths in between, I bought mine early
=B495, and he got his copy late =B495.) Yeah, look - I got to tell ya I b=
ought mine before him, pretty neat, uh? ;)
Anyhows, looks like there is more to it than just 'a location-of-print th=
ing'. But what that could be beats me...

Does anyone have any background info on Ernst Long (Saxophonist on BMF). He
kicks ass.

hey sommsters.

just got another bout of curiousity while eyeballing the chriscornell.com
domain today. what, normally, is the ratio of days from the release of
Proposed Hit Single to release of Proposed Hit Single's Video for Mtv and
VH1? i've never really kept my eyes on these types of things before. it
seems, if my memory likes me today, that the actual song comes out a few
weeks before a video?

And i know this is an inane one, but anyone have any idea of Cornell will
actually release singles IN the united states, or are we going to have to
shell out for imports still? I haven't seen any mention of US single release
dates other than to radio, however.

I'm thoroughly amused at the fact that the intro page was changed from Def
Leppard to Chris Cornell. oh, and those looking for a piece of the Vikki and
Chris dinner story, there's an image up on UKDeb's site.

In the few examples ive seen the song needs to be "gaining momentum" for the
record company (or whoever) shells out the cash for the video. The only
example of this I can think of is Weezer's song Pink Triangle....They said
if it didnt get alot of airplay there would be no video made (and it
didnt... hence no video). I dont know if it works this way for all singles
and bands but thats the way ive seen it

btw im not a "newbie" just a very secluded lurker

Record companies test out the waters, so to speak, of the song before
wondering if they should spend over $100k to make a video that might not
even get rotation in MTV/Much/VH1/MuchMoreMusic. There are plenty of songs
that haven't been in heavy rotation that have been released to radio the
week before. I can't name any now, but I'm sure they're out there. Usually
the week or two before the vid is scheduled to come out, the single is
released to radio. I think that since Chris is a part of one of the 90's
greatest bands, his solo LP is really, really awaited and he's a beautiful
lyricist/singer, that the vid will be in heavy airplay. I mean, look at
Pretty Noose. Though, the next singles/vids might not get a lot of airtime,
they're nice to buy and listen to the B-sides.

Speaking of which, I can't wait for Can't Change Me's B-Side. If the track
record serves well, Soundgarden's B-sides rivaled the single itself, so I
really can't wait for hidden treasures Chris has hidden from us.

Dave

*breaks in amongst the banter*

Hi Sommsters..

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any Soundgarden mp3 sites or sites
that have SG mp3s? A friend of mine is looking for 'The girl you want' but
can't find anything. I seem to remember someone posting that they had a site
like this, unless I'm confusing you with another list?.. I've had a bit of a
scour of the net but couldn't find a thing... any ideas???

Sassy
