Why do you always have to be so catty, Barbara? It's a serious question. We
want to know what happened and why we haven't heard anything, that's all..
Vikki hasn't posted since her original announcement as far as i know. And
frankly i don't even remember seeing the original post. I saw the replies
and nothing more.
Why assume the worst? I really don't think anyone is out to get Vikki in
particular, we just aren't clear on the details..

Very cool. I've always felt Pearl Jams biggest
weakness was in the drums department. Obviously they
did too by the number of times they've changed
drummers. With Matt there I'm really looking forward
to this new Pearl Jam album.

Jay.

I believe Vikki is going on the lunch with Chris very soon. Actually, I
think the lunch is now a dinner. Either way, I'm sure she'll get a good
meal. I'm willing to bet that she will share the experience with the
list. No need for suspicions, accusations and conspiracy theories.

The PAWS Benefit Dinner happened last Wednesday, June 16th.

I wont be able to "review" the album since I only heard it once, but I'll
certainly try to convey my "first impression" to the list by early next
week. I actually think that "first impressions" of the album can turn
into a very interesting list discussion, once we all own the album in
September. For me personally, all of SG's albums took at least three
listens before I would be able to absorb their nuances and complexity.
I'm going to have to go through the same process with Euphoria Morning --
it's going to take a while to sink in.

As for the actual dinner, there were nine people at the table and there
wasn't much music related conversation. For example, if you haven't seen
"The Matrix" yet, do not let the kiss of death (otherwise known as Keanu
Reeves) deter you. My boyfriend and I think it's a wonderful movie.
Chris agreed. He said: "It's one of the best sci-fi films I've ever
seen." So stop flaming each other and go out and enjoy a good movie this
weekend. How many other people at the theater with a "The Matrix" ticket
in their hand will be able to say that Chris Cornell personally
recommended the film? :)
