Real quick,

THE CULT IS GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!!!!!!!
Thanks Pablo for recommending me to listen to them, I can't ever repay you
:).

It seems great musicians tend to flock together...Ian Astbury (lead singer)
recently collaborated with none other than Matt:

[snip]
Ju: So, apart from the date you've done
together at the Viper Rooms, have you been up to
much else?

Ian: Yes, we did ctually do a song called 'Wild
Child' for a Doors record which includes
contributions form the likes of WIlliam
Borroughs and Bo Diddely - it's quite eclectic
really. I have also done some work for Tony
Iomi, the guitar player from Black Sabbath, Matt
Cameron also played on it (from Soundgarden).
It's myself singing Tony's track, already
written & programmed and everything & Matt
Cameron came in and played drums and that is
called 'Flame On' and will be on his solo
record.
[/snip]

You can read the full interview here (beware, typos are everywhere):
http://www.beggars.com/artists/astbury/astbury.htm

I'll leave you guys to explain all this :)

Just a thought.......

Why don4t we call this list "The Chris Cornell mailing-list" ??
Seems like everything we talk about nowadays is
"Euphoria Morning"......
Nothing bad about that but I really miss My favorite band....
SOUNDGARDEN...........

Well.....Just a thought.....

Take care...

Kenny

Subject: Euphoria Morning - my verdict

It seems as though I only post to the list about once a year these days,
but at least when I do, it's good. ;)

I got a copy of Euphoria Morning today (from a heavenly source who will
remain nameless). And it's great! Anyone who has been paying attention to
the progression of Chris's songwriting style post Badmotorfinger won't be
surprised. Except that he sounds a bit happier. Which seems a bit sad to
me, as it perhaps indicates just how unhappy he became towards the end of
Soundgarden.

There's plenty of melody, lots of divine Chris wailing (bad luck for all
those anti-wailers on the list). Great to hear Flutter Girl on there too.
I will attempt to post something a little more in-depth and specific to the
list after a few more listenings - I've only had it for a couple of hours
so far!

In a nutshell though, beautiful stuff. But don't expect Seasons. And not
entirely Sunshower either. But a bloody great album, IMO.

And sorry, but please don't inundate me with messages asking for a copy. I
will try to oblige my SOMMS buddies that are still on the list. You know
who you are.

Damn that must be sweet to have. Give us some info on the songs, like the
styles or whatever, in your opinion. No offense, but if I got an early copy
of Euphoria Morning I probably wouldn't tell the list. You're probably
gonna get a lot of messages asking for stuff from it.

Can you please tell us on how many songs people from eleven sing in the
background. PLEASE say that it's on no more than one.

What does the album cover look like?

Could you give us a example of divine wailing? Like what Soundgarden Songs
can you compare it too or can you compare it.

Has Chris changed fluttergirl at all? Added guitar parts, drum parts, bass
parts, changed lyrics, etc.

Does Chris in this album tune his guitar all cool and funky? Like Burden in
my Hand, Pretty Noose, Like Suicide, etc.

Just to let anyone that's interested know, the copy I received is a
cassette, no artwork, no track info, etc. And again, please don't ask for
copies, I am already expecting men with trenchcoats and briefcases to belt
down my door!

Come on, what reason does Georgia have to lie? Even if it is just for
the attention, I imagine she's intelligent enough to realize the 7
trillion people that are going to be bugging her, sending her private
e-mails asking stupid questions that all of us wanted to do once we read
her post. What I'm saying is she knew the consequences when she said it,
she just wanted to let us know it didnt turn out to be some new Sugar
Ray album or some shit. Quite frankly, I dont care where she got it
from, its none of our business.
