Soundgarden makes me happy. To get Soundgarden, i need money. Cd's to listen
to, then i need money to buy a cd player, or then i might want to buy a tape
deck to listen on the radio. So for me, I need money to be happy.

Money=Happiness (not total happiness, but makes you happy)
Happiness=Soundgarden

Peace

I know this isn't SG related but since it slightly relates to people such as
musicians who make alot of money, as well as the fact that it's an important
piece of knowledge, i am responding..

Monnica, i think you missed the point that Jen was trying to make. I see it
like this: Your happiness levels do not necessarily increase as your cash
levels increase. So; rich, wealthier, financially stable (whatever you want
to call them) people aren't always jolly, they don't necessarily know the
meaning of life and they don't necessarily have good relationships (with
friends, family or lovers). They haven't 'got it all' because they have
money.

Yes yes, we know everyone needs money to survive. We know you would be lost
without a few dollars in your pocket for your day to day needs. That's not
what the saying implicates! Are you all just using it literally to bug
people by being difficult or something??

I just thought this was universally understood.. really a fundamental of
life.

ps. excuse typos..

Get out of your materialistic world and maybe you'll start understanding..
You say:
'Money=Happiness (not total happiness, but makes you happy)'

you're close but oh so far.. we're talking about real happiness.
Fulfillment.. not this song makes me smile-happiness, but everything is so
perfect i could die today and not feel my life was lacking in
anything-happiness.

You sign your letter with "Peace" but it means nothing more to you than just
being something that sounds 'hip'.. or maybe you think it's witty because of
your handle..

arghhh I give up.. It's not my job to explain these sorts of moral theories
to you. It's exhausting and pointless. Believe me this is the last i will
say on this topic. I hope everyone understands what i mean one day, though..
Maybe you'll make a gift for someone with your own hands (spending $0) and
when you give it to them they'll shed tears of happiness.. It will change
your life.

This is the second time I've ever responded to people's letters; usually you
guys are intelligent enought to make a point without getting personal, but
this one is really insulting. By insulting the person's intelligence you
think you can change their opinion, when you actually made a better point at
the end by listing something positive that you could do without money...

<<"Maybe you'll make a gift for someone with your own hands (spending $0) and
when you give it to them they'll shed tears of happiness.. It will change
your life.">>

See, that's nice without being insulting.... If you would remember back to
your pre-school days where they said "if you don't have anything nice to say,
don't say anything at all," maybe you could get somewhere without getting
people upset with you. Just because you have an opinion about something does
not mean that people have to agree with you, and your lack of realizing that
really shows your immaturity.

Yeah, you need money to survive ,to support yourself but inner happiness
can't be bought.

They have a webpage too now if only they had this station Streaming on
Real Player, dammit.

That is what makes things interesting watching bands change & evolve.
It shows you were they are at in their lives. Bands who don't change
seem to be trying to be something they are not, like the rolling stones
(since they were already brought up) for instance they seem to be trying
to be in that young era again which is just boring to me. I bet the
money isn't bad either. Wave Millions of dollars in their face most
bands will rejoin because they are just about money which makes me sick.

Ok, to change the subject of money.....

I got some kick-ass stuff yesterday. Can we say Superunknown on blue
vinyl? I know I can. hehe. Plus, something else that just surprised the
hell out of me, The Day I Tried To Live single on 12" vinyl. Track
listing is TDITTL, Like Suicide (acoustic) and kickstand live. It's
black and on one side is the actual record and on the other is "One more
time around might do it" printed in a circle on the record!! Isn't that
awesome??? And it also came with a stencil (with the letters still in)
that was Soundgarden above Superunknown. Hell, I've never heard of this,
much less seen it for five bucks in a CD tradeworld... So can I get some
info on this? You know, how many pressed, how rare it is, how much its
worth, blah blah blah. Thanks.
