I found my copy of Loser at Amazon.com and I believe that it is still
available. I haven't checked in eons but see for yourself

Sassy - who thinks that the word grunge is only a fashion statement, I'll
call the music anything but grunge.

I was watching the motorvision video last night and I noticed on
the back cover that the songwriting credits were all screwed up. On the
album it says CC wrote SWMGEC, RC, and Outshined. On the video it says
Kim wrote those songs. I think I even remember reading an interview with
Kim where he said that Chris wrote RC and the entire riff came out of
Chris liking the sound of his guitar through a wah pedal rocked all the
way forward (treble). Now I am cofused because I always thought the best
SG songs were the ones w/ music and lyrics by CC. Maybe I wasnt giving
Kim the credit he deserves? This may quench some of my excitement over
the new album if Chris can't write as well as I thought he could.
Hopefully they just screwed up the video credits.

If you're that desperate to hear it, i'm sure the girls won't mind if you
give them a call and get them to hum it for you..

doing this....

Too bad you jumped to conclusions, Koggle. Research, usually, when done
correctly is not a rehash of past research. Research is taking these sources
and through analysis creating your own hypothesis with it. I'm making sure
that my project doesn't turn into just another hype!. I'm doing a *musical
analysis* of how grunge has musically influenced other modern rock bands,
i.e. the imitation of chords and lyrics by bands like godsmack, creed, bush,
days of the new. etc. In this effect I won't just be watching documentaries
and taking notes but I'll be listenting to the music and creating my
personal distinctions. Yeah and so there have been quite a few articles,
books written about the grunge movement BUT *any sort of research* adds more
information to that sphere of academia anyways and is therefore beneficial.

And just like Mike I chose "grunge" because it was something i was
interested in and wanted to spend my senior year working on having been so
involved with music for a long time. This isn't going to just be some 1000
word thesis paper. This is gonna be, by next May, a year and half of
research. I don't know anyone who's ever ventured into such intense research
to impress anyone BUT themselves for being so committed. I wanted something
to be proud of, something I had worked on academically with one of the
things I love most. I feel lucky that I am able to do this project.

>the word "grunge" gives me the creeps. heheh

Yeah, and the word grunge does make everybody sick but that's the popculture
term for it and that's what it will always be.

Hmm.. I'll have to check the magazine out tomorrow (I think one or two record
stores around me sell it). If this is true, this is great news!
