Subject: THE LYRICS ...

Hi Sommsters!

We have listened to the song several times and we guess the lyrics go
something like this ...

Chris Cornell "Can=B4t Change Me"

She can do anything at all
Have anything she pleases
Power to change what she thinks is wrong
What could she want with me me

Wait just on minute here
I can see that she=B4s trying to read me

Suddenly I know
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
But she can=B4t change me
No, she can=B4t change me

She has the daylight at her command
She gives the night its dreams
She can uncover your darkest fear
Make you forget you feel it

Wait just on minute more
I can see that she=B4s trying to free me

Suddenly I know
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
But she can=B4t change me
No, she can=B4t change me

Suddenly I can see
Everything that=B4s wrong
We need it
What can I do, I=B4m the only thing I really have ... at all

Wait just on minute here
I can see that she=B4s trying to need me

Suddenly I know
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
But she can=B4t change me
No, she can=B4t change me

Later!

Marta + Carmen

>From today's Kerrang! (Dated May 22 1999)

"Cornell: We might reform!"

Chris Cornell, the former Soundgarden frontman, has sensationally suggested
that the band may one day reunite. In 1997 the Seattle grunge gods chose to
disband after 13 years, while their fifth album, Down On The Upside, was
still
riding high in charts around the world.

Speaking exclusively to Kerrang!, Cornell pondered the possibility of the
band reforming: " Everybody still likes everybody," he said, "so it's
totally
plausible that we'll make another record whenever we want. It's not like one
guy punched another guy and you haven't talked to them in eight years. I
think
as soon as everybody feels equally enthusiastic about it, we'll probably do
something."

Cornell's debut solo album, which features ex-Soundgarden drummer Matt
Cameron
on one track, is currently untitled and will hit the shops in September, UK
dates are presently scheduled for October.

Just out of curiosity, why does everyone choose "grunge" to do assignments
on? What's to tell that wasn't in Hype and wasn't lived through by everyone
else..

It's been done and overdone.. it's not new or even interesting anymore. I
mean sure, you want to choose a topic that's mildly cool to impress your
friends or something.. but "grunge"?

the word "grunge" gives me the creeps. heheh

good morning
Koggle

There's this great book called Loser: The Story of the Seattle Music Scene.
It's packed with awesome stuff. I think they have it at most Barnes and
Nobles (I've been to two and they both had it) or you can order it over the
net. It's got tons of Soundgarden and Nirvana and what not.

Please do NOT send it to the list. For those who download email via a slow
modem, or those who are on the digest, emailing a large file like a song is
an extremely bad idea. If you want to distribute it, post it on a webpage,
mail the url to this list, then remove it after a couple days (if you want).

Also, remember from when you subbed to the list? This is rule number two.

2. You may NOT send junk mail, spam, or files to the list - you will
be unsubscribed immediately.

Please don't take this the wrong way, I really want to hear the song as
well, but I really don't like being forced to download huge email messages.

first off, you may have chosen "mildly cool" topics to impress friends, but i
chose grunge because it was something i enjoyed and knew about. second of
all, hype was only in the select theatres when i attempted to do mine, so
nothing was really known about the "genre"

I must say I agree with Koggle. I know I would be tempted, but I think I
would not do it in the end. Koggle is also right about Hype! -- if there's
one thing we should have learned from that movie is that "the scene" needs
to be left alone.
