We=B4d love to send a sound file to the list but we don=B4t know exactly wha=
t
do we have to do but we guess Deb and Dave are going to explain it to us.
Anyway, any idea will be happily accepted :)

>i don't buy this spanish radio thing. i think maybe she got Chris Cornell
>mixed up with Rickie Martin.
>Rachel* (IWIWSS, aka instigator of the imusic bbs :)

BTW Ms Instigator... Who=B4s trying to sell anything? What do spanish hav=
e
to be with Ricky Martin?.... We =B4re afraid you missed the geography class
related to "Spain and Puerto Rico, two different countries".... pobrecita!

But meanwhile, the chorus of the song goes something like this....

Wait just one minute more
I can see that she=B4s trying to free me

Suddenly I know
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
She=B4s going to change the world
But she can=B4t change me
No, she can=B4t change me

Suddenly I can see everything is wrong
What can I do I=B4m the only thing I really have....at all

Chris is OK but Ricky Martin, Antonio Banderas and Julio Iglesias are
terrific singing the chorus ...
Just kidding. The thing is, it=B4s a BEAUTIFUL song. Chris also does the
background vocals Cornell=B4s trademark ;)
The guitar chords could remind us to a modern medieval melody or something
like that ... Anyway, we hope we all could share our opinions pretty soon.
Later!

Can anyone find any information about this online? The closest thing i can
get to it is lyrics to the Black Sabbath song "You Won't Change Me"

These lines "Nobody will change me anyway, no no way Nobody's gonna change
my world" are kinda similar to Chris' (the ones posted to the list). Is it a
mere coincidenccce? heh heh

Such language from you people! You all should be
ashamed of yourselves! The simple fact is that this
is a SOUNDGARDEN MAILING LIST! If one wants to ask
questions about things unrelated to SG, why not ask on
a different mailing list? I just get tired of having
countless e-mails sent to me that have nothing to do
with SG! By the way, keep calling me names and you'll
get a flame war buddy! You know who you are!

Ever wonder why you're the only one dragging this on? You're making it seem
like it's the end of the world. He asked his question, he got the answer,
it's done.

The End.

I strongly believe that this song was leaked from the company....maybe by
Chris Cornell himself =). If the song was released in, say, the U.S., a
radio station would catch major flak from Interscope for playing the song,
as it is not officially released.

Is this Chris's indirect way to give us fans an apology for having the album
delayed so long, by releasing a song on Spanish radio? I know one of us
would be able to record it and convert it to RA or MP3 so the rest of us
would be able to hear it.

Anyway, I'm likely wrong...the song could have been officially
released....I'm just speculating...

And this e-mail has to do with Soundgarden?

AND BTW... to you sir, dave guy brener or WHATEVER... the reason "flame

acted EXTREMELY rude to that guy who asked a question AND had a DISCLAIMER
for his actions. he wasnt startin anything with you, so why'd you have to go
and start stuff with him?? Sheesh...

peace, love, hope, faith, soup
and
s o u n d g a r d e n
always groovy,

ps: about the whole Chris/New Song thing: that roks!!! sheesh!!! if
Carmen and Marta can hook us SOMMSters up with the song, that would rok even

sorry to nitpick, but this song is not originally by REM. it was written
by an obscure 60s band called the clique. but of course, everybody knows
the REM version best.

First of all that is a disgrace to Soundgarden to even mention a band
like REM in this mailing list. Second I agree that we should only talk
about Soundgarden. SAo my question is this. Who wrote this song I
have on one of my bootlegs: "Search and Destroy"? I am puzzled. So if
any of you who have heard and know let me know.

Thanks,

MIKE

Search and Destroy is an old Iggy Pop and the Stooges song.

I don't know if what you have on your bootleg is the same song, but Iggy
Pop and the Stooges wrote a song called "Search and Destroy"... Likely,
it's the same song.
