Yeah, but I'd still rather hear Ben scream any day. Now that's
something that sends chills of delight up my spine!

This might be an intresting thread =)...which lyrics to what songs
have you sworn to be true, but later found out they were wrong?

I remember back before DotU was released the radio played 'Pretty
Noose' consistantly. And I always thought the line

"And I don't like what you got me hanging from"

was...

"And I don't like what you got me and you frown"

I figured out the line after getting DotU and looking at the CD
booklet (I never did listen to the radio much).

embarrassingly enough it was "just a burnin' in my head"! I still get a
chuckle when I think of that.

I do believe that there is a site out there dedicated to these fuckups
:). I forget the URL, but I'm sure there's someone out there whose got
it and/or knows what I'm talking about. Last time I was there, a
couple jabroni's didn't know Rusty Cage or something and made their
own lyrics..

On Rusty Cage it sounds like "It's going to be two doctors in the
game" instead of "It's going to be too dark to sleep again".

I knew there was no way this could be right but on Swallow My Pride
it sounds like "All the worms in her heart" instead of "All the warmth".

Outshined: "Degrassi's always greener". :)

Also, in Slaves and Bulldozers i kind of knew it was "What's in it for me",
but it sounded like "What's in it for May". Just the way he said the word.
It's understandable because screaming "me" in that part would kind of sound
weird

Funny that you should mention Rusty Cage. I used to work with a kid that
refused to listen to Soundgarden because he thought the words to Rusty Cage
were "I'm gonna break, I'm gonna break my love stick in and run from him!"

Later,

Mike Apple

I do believe the site you are referring to is http://www.kissthisguy.com/
There are a couple in there relating to Soundgarden, and they are funny.

HHHHHAaaa, that's the funniest thing I've heard all week =). Is this
co-worker of yours missing a few marbles, by any chance?

On a related note, my brother's friend thought the hook from 'Ty
Cobb' went:

"I'm ready to fuck you all"

For good reason too, this boy is missing a few marbles....

On Fell On Black Days, i thought that when he sings "I sure don't mind a
change" i thought he said "I shit on my black days" lol.
and on "The Day I Tried To Live" when he says "I learned that i was a
liar" I thought he said "eleven hours a night" I was sure he really didn't
say those things but it just sounded like it.
Oh and I lost the address to the interview with Chris' mother AGAIN, i'm
very sorry, but if someone could send that to me just one more time it would
be helpfull.

tonight? If so, you were rewarded with not only a mention, but also a
photo of our boys as well as a video clip of Johnny singing Rusty Cage.
