Hey,
I can't remember if anyone mentioned it, but a brief writeup on Queens of
the Stone Age appears in Magnet No. 39, April/May '99. Brief mention of
Matt and this quote: "... the early Queens work features hallmarks of the
Kyuss sound: distortion-laden guitars and drumming that would make John
Bonham appear a limp-wristed creampuff in comparison."

Also, on the special about Jesse "Young Loud & Skinny" Camp, the winner
of MTV's Wannabe a VJ contest last year, "Hands All Over" is used as
incidental music. I admit, I went down to MTV Chicago offices to try to
audition, but through MTV's poor information dissemination, did not even
get an application and so wasn't able to smile for the camera. I guess
I'll just have to keep trying to get on the Real World.

hey guys... here's something that might produce a grin after the sad
April 9 anniversary. I know we all miss them so much it hurts and
that we've all missed Chris for a long time now since he's been away
from 'the spotlight'... I found this interview again recently.

-----------------
Interviewer: I read the story in Billboard about you sitting around
making wallets out of duct tape.

Chris Cornell: I realize everyone needs something to fall back on. If
we could figure out a way to do it, we'd probably sell them on
Lollapalooza. It's labor intensive. You have to figure out a system
where you measure the strips and count how many strips it's supposed
to be. One guy could cut the tape and another guy assembling. Right
now, it takes me about two hours to make one. You don't find this
quality on the street. If I could make a duct tape juicer or go to
hand luggage, maybe we might have something there.

oh my king... ;)

sls (into chris' fire she goes...)

p.s. this one's for you kataluna!
