hm, i made a nice little mp3 of clips from every single one of the album
studio tracks (i picked a good representative five seconds or so). it
might give you the same effect but definitely more intense-- 7 minutes of
pure soundgarden.

Sorry I took so long to post. I've been so busy since I got back and my
server was down for 2 days, which hasn't helped anything! They even
lost all the email I got while I was gone, so if anyone mailed me last
week and hasn't already done so, please send it again. I don't even
know what went on on the list here.
But enough of that. I did go to the Gossamer Wings cd release party at
the Crocodile in Seattle a week ago, and it was a great show. Ben did
not play, but he was there. I only saw him very briefly and didn't get
to talk to him, so I don't know if he's doing anything musically right
now or not. He has buzzed off his hair again (grrr...) I did talk to
Mike Johnson, who played in the usual mesmerizing manner and was in
great voice, to Mark Lanegan, who was there to see the show, and to Pete
Krebs and his current bassist Jim Talent and current drummer John Moen.
It was funny, when Pete introduced the band he got Jim and John's names
mixed up and then, after a few laughs and making amends he said,
"they're all interchangeable with Ben Shepherd," and shot a grin to
sidestage, where Ben was at the time.
If you get a chance to see Gossamer Wings, you really should. Pete
rocks out a lot more with a band than he does solo, and much more than
the album, even though it's the same songs. He is planning a tour this
summer beyond the NW, with a totally different band, not including Ben
unfortunately. Don't know if this is by Ben's choice or Pete's, but it
was always intended to be a revolving line-up. So, Ben may reappear at
some future date for all we know. I did take pictures and plan to do a
review of the show on my site soon, so watch for it within the next week
or so, as soon as I get the time to get it all together.

Has anyone purchased Americana- the Music of Johnny Cash? The release
party for it is today at Cellophane Square on the Ave. in Seattle but
supposedly it is already for sale. Rumor last fall was that Ben is on
it, but I haven't been able to verify this. I plan to buy it anyway,
but just wondered if anyone has it yet and knows if he is indeed on it.

Hi all,
Sorry if I'm going over old ground (I'm sure I am) A fair while
ago, probably a year, someone mentioned somthing about an SG skin for
winamp, if anyone has this or knows where i could get it i'd be forever
grateful. I've also pulled out the temple of the dog cd again and had
another listen, and could anyone tell me where i could get some Mother
Love Bone Mp3's since i've never heard their music before.

Thanks
Greg

i can't believe it's been two years. that's a long time. my life has changed
so much in the past two years... but soundgarden is still constant. hopefully
we'll have some new stuff from chris soon.
