hmm that's interesting to hear-- i would've liked to seen a lot more of
chris inthat movie ;) but it doesn't really sound like something chris
would do... he was offered a part in "the usual suspects" and turned it
down... saying something like... "i'm not an actor i'll just keep
pretending in music videos..."

sls (into chris' fire she goes...)

His audition experience for 'Singles' is probably the reason he doesn't
want to act. Most likely he realized that he doesn't have the ability to
act well, so that's why in interviews he always says that he would leave
the acting to the actors.

It is nice to see the page backup. It looks great too, btw.

I thought is was interesting to note the *rumor* that one of Cornell's
songs on the solo release is called "Flutter Girl." That is pretty
exciting news, if it turns out the be true. I always hated that the
song was never officially released. Flutter Girl is too beautiful of a
song to just be available on bootleg releases.

I was just thinking the same thing, about Soundgarden.
They had always said that when it stopped being fun
that they were going to quit, there was no pushing it,
because that could've ruined the friendships between
the band members. Do you guys really want them to keep
going and end up hating each other for making them do
it? Or would you rather them put out albums while they
still want to? *shrugs* I agree, it took a lot for
Soundgarden to step down like that, but they knew it
was their time..I just hope that EC knows when it's
time for them to quit too (although i hope its not for
 a while:)).

As does mine. It should appear right down there. If it doesn't, just type
that first url up there but use the name ColdSunAndWind.

Please visit my sad little webpage. http://www.angelfire.com/nm/Soundgarden

Point well taken. Actors should act and singers should sing. After
all, we've already had to suffer through the horrific experience of having
to listen to Jennifer Love Hewitt sing "How Do I Deal."
It would have been interesting to see how it would have turned out,
though. Judging from interviews and stage banter, Chris appears to have
good timing and delivery. He would have been familiar with the character
of Cliff too, a struggling musician trying to make it in the Seattle music
scene.
Apparently, he didn't get the role just because he didn't have the
name recognition when they were filming the movie. If they had only waited
another six months...

I don't know, because if they capt everyone else cast as is, then Chris' band
would be Jeff, Stone and Eddie, and I don't think anything musically
worthwhile could come out of that combin...... oh wait.

tentatively due out Sept. 21. There's no album title yet, but Cornell's
management says the singer could be playing some select club dates this
summer."
