I suspect that it's not a matter of them making up their minds- as others
have observed, Matt isn't 100% available.

Did anyone else notice that Matt seems interested in continuing to work
with members of soundgarden? (I am NOT hinting about a reunion)
He said Kim is working on B-Sides, he worked with Chris, he would like to
tour with Ben (did I misread what he said?).

It's reassuring to know that they still keep in touch.

Really? I was under the impression that it was Pearl Jam that was
hemming-and-hawing about it. I'm glad that Matt's not permanently joining
Smashing Pumpkins, though. I was horrified when I found out they recorded
electronic drums over some of his tracks on Adore. That's like tossing a
bucket of paint on DaVinci's "Last Supper."

It always seemed like Matt was the member least interested in breaking
up the band, in my opinion. It feels good to know that they are staying in
touch and still working together. I'm hoping that they get back together
in a few years and tour again. I want to be a "Gardenhead" and follow them
around in a psychedelic volkswagen minivan.

Later,

Mike Apple

Anybody notice the number of bands that Matt said he'd like to start?

Drum - Thanks Black, I almost forgot about Eleven. Hey Matt, that is still
one of my favorite CDs. Do you think you might record with them again?
MattCameron - drum: We have been talking about doing a band together in the
future.
hmmm.....Chris is pretty close with Eleven also....hmmm...

Working w/ Jack Enido...
outshined - Do you keep in touch with Jack Endino?
MattCameron - outshined: yes, and we plan on doing a band together soon.

Add to that a Pearl Jam album...a Wellwater Tour...anyone notice the places
he's talked about touring...Australia, S.America...no Canada..hehehe. BoE
coming to us on vinyl in 2 months. Chris is done with his album and back in
Seattle. Wellwater's working on a music video...directed by Ed Vedder
(ok....this is a shock..early april fools?) Matt said he heard about the
Chris auction and said he thought it was a weird thing or something along
those lines. Pj are playing a couple of his songs...he's playing
guitar...Adam Kasper is "hopefully" producing the next album....man, he's a
busy guy...and he's got a little Cameron crawling around.
Well, I'm off to edit the transcript...

You are all forgetting something. They did not break up because they
were pissed off at each other, They were just tired of doing SG and
wanted a change. They are all still friends and hang out with each
other. They all love to hear what each other are doing musically. Yeah
someday they may all be hanging out and go, "Hey, that was fun back in
SG. You want to do it again of old times sake?" But don't hold your
breath. They are all friends and will always be friends. After all Matt
once said they he still talks with Hiro. Because he talks to him don't
mean they are gonna get back together but with Hiro instead of Ben,
which i wouldn't mind seeing. My point to all this gibberish is that
they are all gonna stay in touch with each other. They all are gonna
hang out and so forth. After all, they were in a band together for 13
years.

Your best bet is to find the "Pave the Earth" compliation, check used
CD stores and places like that, or GEMM.com.

filling in permanently...........sounds like matt might have meant hed
always fill in on drums for pearl jam.....probably whenever schedules
allowed/coincided.

i almost stroked-out trying to decipher and follow the matt chat ......it was
sheer luck that i caught that "filling in permanently" statement.
