I hadn't checked it in a while, but then last week I got the incling. =
It would appear to be dead. What would be the response if I should, oh =
I don't know, say tried my hand at raising it from the dead? Twas a =
kewl idea that seemed to work well, dunno why it died, but I'd like to =
see something like it up again & if the demand is right I believe I may =
take a shot at it. Anyone?

aloha...* i was at the seth's unofficial looking at the somms
archives... wow. what a great thing. it was really interesting to read
all of your correspondence. i feel kinda down on myself just because i
feel so late.. getting into the whole soundgarden community... honestly,
i wish i had known about somms and everything when they disbanded. that
was a young and sensitive time for me to begin with, and when that
happened it would've been nice to talk to people about it... and to
think i missed their dotu tour and lolla96 that year...!!!

anyways it was cool seeing that you all got to know each other...
through the greatest band in the world... i was looking a lot at certain
topics... favorite chris quotes which i thought were really cool because
i'd never had the pleasure of seeing soundgarden live... and his stage
presence seems very removed from his pretty laid back, quiet persona...
i don't remember who posted the one where he was saying he loved the
crowd just like they were his kids but i esp. liked that one :) i also
looked at when some of you sommsters i guess were preparing to meet the
band... awesome... anyways, i hope to get to know more of you on the
list... find me on aol im! :) also at yahoo clubs.. :) (so happy to be
buddies with Deb and Kathie) well... i just had to get that off my
chest.

hi-

I was just watching the Fairfax 96 vid bootleg and was wondering why =
Matt didn't drum on "Ty Cobb"? Does the guy that replaces him on the =
song always drum on it? Does anyone know who the replacement is?

If I remember right (this is 2nd hand info), the guy is the drummer for
either Rocket From the Crypt or Tenderloin, the bands that opened for SG
most of that tour. I guess he would play a song in place of Matt some
nights.

Oh the pain of having to wait. I am wondering how mnany songs will be on
the album. Since it has been so long since we have heard new material
from Chris I think we all wouldn't mind a 30 track album. But I really do
want every song to be awesome. Like Badmotorfinger every song hit the
spot and the band ended it at 12 songs and there was nothing really that
could have been added that would have done the cd more justice. On the
other hand if superunknown had of stopped at 12 songs then we would have
missed out on some great music. All said I just want the album to be
awesome and i hope Chris stops at the right point not going to far or not
going far enough. Anyway I would like to get some feed back from you
guys.

it was the tenderloin drummer, Taz. he played ty cobb every night that
Tenderloin played on the tour, i believe.

he doesn't wear shoes when he drums.

I was at the 96 Fairfax show and if I remember right it was the drummer
from TAD that played one song. The reason he played the song was because
Matt got smacked in the head with a golf ball that was thrown from the
crowd. Surely, I am not the only Sommster left from the group that went to
that show??? :-((( toni

Hey everybody,
I'd like to make a short announcement. On Thursday March 18th, in the
early afternoon, Geoff Kleemola and Leslie Campbell will be married in
Montego Bay, Jamaica, in a private ceremony. For those who don't know
what the hell I'm talking about, Leslie and I met through somms almost
exactly two years ago. I'd like to say cheers to everyone who was
around at that time. (Hey Chris, Dena, Steve, Shroom, and everyone
else. you know who you are) I'd also like to say thanks to Seth, for
creating the community called somms. Lastly, and certainly not least,
I'd like to thank Soundgarden. I'm off to Jamaica...
Geoff
