Just to let you know in the March issue of US magazine there is a small
article about Chris' CD in the "cool stuff" section. It has small older
picture of Chris and says:

COOL CD: CHRIS CORNELL
When the grunge pioneers Soundgarden broke up in '97, it was seen as a sign
of the genre's demise. If anyone needed another sign, it may be the highly
anticipated solo debut by Chris Cornell, the band's singer-songwriter.
"There's much more emphasis on vocals and melody," says Cornell, 34 of the
not yet title album due out in late April. "It's certainly not rock & roll
the way Soundgarden did it"

That's it. Not much new info but it certainly shows that the media hype is
starting and the PR people are going into overdrive on this one. toni

thanks for the article babe!

is it me, or does every article put the release further and further back?
once upon a time it was late march..... once upon a time it was also last
october!! what can be taking so long?

you recording artists on this list, got any help?? what takes this long?

as a side note:

new WWC rocks heavily. still think i perfer the 1st one so far though.....
this one sounds more classic rock than tripped out stuff, but has plenty of
trippy in it. :) gotta love matt.... and it had one of those nerdy ass
stickers on it that said "New Music from Matt cameron and john mcbain!" AUGH!
"born with a tail" might as well have been a Floyd outtake.... soooooooooo
cool.

mindriot :)

Arrgh! It's pretty damn frustrating. But I'd venture to say that there are
two reasons for the delays.

1. It's Chris' first solo album. So maybe he's been working to ensure that
the album turns out exactly how he wants.

2. With A&M gone, there will probably be delays for releases from all of
the artists that were with that label. I mean, we're talking about big
business here. I have my own company with a partner. And even with a small
business it can take some time to make decisions and get things done.
Imagine trying to get something moving in a big corporation.

Just my thoughts...

Think on the bright side. At least there will be new music from Chris.
While I understand Kim's need for a break, I am disappointed that there has
been no indication that he will continue to make music. It's been very cool
to be able to hear new music from Matt and Ben. And with the new WWC
release last week, I can bear to wait a little longer for Chris' album.
Just a little.

If you're serious... I it was/is a Black Sabbath song. Ozzy Osborn (sp?)
was the lead singer for Black Sabbath.

If not, I guess the joke's on me.
