Hi! Peggy, the ugly brown dog has completed the task of choosing the
winner of the latest giveaway and once again this doofus dog has chosen
someone that the postage will cost me more $$$$$. (no canned food for a
week Peggy!) :-)
The winner is.........from our lovely neighbor to the north.

My guess (and hope) is that after B-Sides is that they will release
"Live-Sides" a collection of the collective bands (or just Kim's) favorite
live tracks that was recorded throughout the years

which made me think of a question (sorry if this is re-hash) but did the
band collectively choose the tracks on A-Sides of was it just Kim??

I heard that all the band members wrote a list of what they wanted to be =
on A-Sides and the ones that got picked the most got on there. I could =
be wrong though.=20

Local 121 never opened. Matt, Ben, Erin Haley (and possibly Chris) were
supposed to be part-owners in the deal. That was all before April '97.
Once SG disbanded, everybody went their separate ways. Conversion of the
club's interior had already begun, and it looked awesome. I was hoping
that I'd get to see Matt perform and entirely jazz-oriented gig at the
club, but construction ceased at least nine months ago. I still have a
ray of hope left. It doesn't seem that the property has been sold or
rented, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the club will one-day open
its doors. -Vikki

Subject: newbie question about tape bootlegs

I know about CD bootlegs, but what is the relationship to tape bootlegs?
I bought a SG tape bootleg today--it has a decent photocopied picture of
Chris on colored paper, and computer printed words of SOUNDGARDEN and the
concert date. The tape itself was labeled by hand, and the cassette
seemed to be in good shape.

Are these tapes of a better generation than CD bootlegs you can buy? are
they of the same generation? do their generations sometime vary (since
you can dub tapes)? are tape bootlegs sometimes released without a cd
counterpart (and/or vice versa)?

Thanks in advance.
