I read it in the paper last night. Seagrams, which owns A&M, Geffen, Interscope, Motown, Mercury, and several other labels, has disbanded all of them and merged them into a giant label known as IGA records. Supposedly about 250 artists will be dropped when the merger is complete. I'm just curious: when they press more copies of Soundgarden albums, like 'Badmotorfinger' and 'Superunknown,' will it continue under the A&M label, or will it be IGA, or will be it IGA/A&M? I guess when A&M was firing all their employees, Chris and Sheryl Crow were there wishing everyone a farewell.
