Since it looks like the odds-on favorite for new Pearl Jam drummer is none
other than Matt Cameron, please consider this SG related:

I'm not a musician (I don't even play one on TV), so if this is a stupid
question, shoot me:

In the PJ video: Single Video Theory, Eddie & Stone discuss putting an "ebo"
at the end of Wishlist.........

Therefore, my question is: What is an "ebo" and what does it do specifically?

Thanks in advance for humoring the musically retarded among you.

Soundgarden To Open Local 121 Club In Seattle

<Picture>When you're diversifying your investment portfolio and gobbling u=
p
real estate in gentrified urban areas between albums, chances are your roc=
k
and roll ship has come in. That's the case with Soundgarden drummer Matt
Cameron and bassist Ben Shepherd, who are putting the finishing touches on
their new Seattle-area club, Local 121 (named after the last three digits =
of
downtown Seattle's zip code, 98121).
=A0=A0 The club, located on 1st Avenue in the center of Seattle's suddenly=
-trendy
Belltown neighborhood, features classically modern architecture, sleek lin=
es,
and a performance stage. Early plans call for a full bar and full cigar
service.
=A0=A0 According to Cory Wynn, the club's booking agent, Local 121 will
concentrate on bringing "a number of different acts" to the space, which i=
s
scheduled to open in early November. Wynn, who booked the OK Hotel (the cl=
ub
featured in the film Singles) has a fondness for modern and avant garde ja=
zz,
and looks to bring that image to the club.
=A0=A0 Local 121 joins Garage, an 18-table pool hall, bar, and restaurant =
opened
by the members of Pearl Jam and their management in Seattle's Capitol Hill
neighborhood and The Crocodile Cafe, a Seattle club partially owned by
R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, as celebrity-owned ventures on Seattle's crowded club
scene.

Eating lots of pizza, smoking mad butts, and drinking lots and lots of
beer. Oh, and he's probably still working on B-Sides.

Has anyone else heard this news? I read it in the paper last night.
Seagrams, which owns A&M, Geffen, Interscope, Motown, Mercury, and several
other labels, has disbanded all of them and merged them into a giant label
known as IGA records. Supposedly about 250 artists will be dropped when
the merger is complete. I'm just curious: when they press more copies of
Soundgarden albums, like 'Badmotorfinger' and 'Superunknown,' will it
continue under the A&M label, or will it be IGA, or will be it IGA/A&M?
Not that it matters much, but I was just wondering.

Probably still A&M. I guess when A&M was firing all their employees,
Chris and Sheryl Crow were there wishing everyone a farewell. Don't know
about you but i woulden't mind getting fired just to have someone cool
like Chris there to say bye and thanks. That would rule. On MTV they
said something like "Don't be supprised if the next few years are run
by independent labels, not the Major ones." That would be nice don't you
think.
