Geez, I don't check my e-mail for a while and I get bombarded with rude
flames courtesy of Mr. Kinser and questions regarding my motives from other
SOMMSters.

Thanks Geoff, for defending my honor and anyone else who had posted
regarding my innocent intentions.

I do not get anything from CDNow for anything you purchase with that coupon.
I had learned about the coupon from an e-mail I had gotten. I don't recall
who the e-mail was from...maybe Geocities or Lycos. So maybe one of them
will benefit if you buy a CD. So what? The point is, if you have a CD
you've been wanting to buy, you can get $5.00 off. So, CDNow benefits,
someone else (geocities or lycos) benefits, and you benefits. What the hell
is wrong with that?

Besides, I am not the first person to post an URL for a CDNow coupon.
Others have done it. I have bought CD's from CDNow because they made the
post. And I have saved 5-10 bucks because of it. Nobody questioned their
intentions when they made the post. And if they did get something out of my
buying a CD...great! I stilled saved money. And if a fellow list
subscriber got something out of the deal, then good. If a third party has
to get something out of the deal, I'd rather it be someone I "know". And if
it was some other company, like geocities or lycos, so be it. That's
business.

Don't worry. The next time I see something that I think SOMMS subscribers
may benefit from, I'll think long and hard before I share it.

I remember hearing that the director wasnt quite finished with the video's
effects when it aired the first bunch of times, so that is why the added
effects were only seen on the later version.

RE: Alive in the SU CDROM.

Try watching it more than once. You might see different versions.
I did.

Hi guys! Here is my little response, but first I have to be cheesy
and say what you have probally heard enough of by now!! I hope
everyone is having a great 1999!
The BHS video version on the CD ROM is probably a shorter version than
the one seen on TV. I was guessing that maybe it was put on the cd
without the effects on for a couple of reasons which are probably all
wrong! One was for the sake of space saving when compressing the
movies with the cinepak quicktime compression (which is not of super
quality on the cd). I was also maybe guessing although I feel it to
be most likely that the edited version on the cd was maybe an early
edit of the video before the effects were added.

i noticed that too. the video was really clean. and i swear to god that
theres a different shot of matt when he does the fill in the last break,
the quick fourths on the toms. maybe they liked the origional better cause
they thought the effects were cheesy and so they decided to mass produce
that one.
i dunno, maybe its just me.
