Ah, Ben quotes. It takes a special sense of humor to appreciate them, I guess. Fortunately, (or perhaps unfortunately in the eyes of some) his sense of humor is very much like mine. Niki, that pool scene was in some MTV video going on during an interview. They didn't say who the band was. And I was present for the "golfball incident" which is also video booted for posterity. "Do you fuckers golf? Well, keep your fucking balls to yourselves!" On Seattle: "It's dreary here, like Scotland." On why Spokane wouldn't host Lollapalooza: "It's not part of the militia. It doesn't feed my horses!" >From talking to Ben, though, I would say there is a point to everything he says, even when he's joking around. He has a way of summing up a lot with a few words, and I like that. Well, except maybe when he gets all entangled in that skeleton analogy in the Japan TV '94 interview... But I gotta admire a man who prefers animals to people most times and wants to breed wildcats. I can't remember the exact quote, but my favourite part of an article is in that Details special about Chris when he talks about when he worked in the restaurant and he played mind games with his co-workers; sitting by himself and watching them move to his side of the room one by one and when he got them all to his side of the room, he'd switch to somewhere else.. it made me think of Chris in another light.. what a cool guy..hehe well later! Koggs ps. Welcome back mr apple! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 21:34:45 -0500 From: Michelle Subject: Re: ..if he can't do it! It brings forth a hearty chuckle. Chris also told about one of his other mind games with his co-workers. He would slowly turn down the volume on the radio over a period of time. Then he'd watch all of those people become more and more agitated. They didn't notice that the music was slowly disappearing. It was a subconcious kind of thing. But it shows the results of depriving people of their music! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 22:38:19 -0500 From: Anna Mincieli Subject: fave "Ben" quotes YES, Jen, that's the quote. I knew there was more to, "keep your balls to yourselves"! Thanx for the double mis-quote. It sounds even funnier now, but damn, I forgot to laugh :( ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 22:43:00 -0500 From: MICHAEL APPLE Subject: Re: ..if he can't do it! No one can!!! I tried that one for a month over the summer. Soundgardenium! now this was very nice as the notes we had been given for the year were real crap and on their periodic table they had 106 as Unnilhexium which is bloody stupid if you ask me but that was before they named it...anyhoo further research revealed that Sg actually stands for Seaborgium and not Soundgardenium, or even Supergroovium, so my excitement was for nothing. doh! Hi- All of this talk about these weird little mind games that Chris likes to play...doesn't it make any of you think that Chris is a little...ummm..nuts??...not nuts like severe nuts...but just a little bit off??...I think so, but he probably wouldnt be so *brilliant* without it...and besides..it adds to his mysterious intregue... He understands other peoples actions and reactions and does things to 'study' them. Perhaps "mind games" is the wrong term to use, since it's negative. If he played "mind games" that actually hurt someone, then I would think he had a problem. But it was all harmless fun. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Dec 1998 01:17:50 EST From: Niki Freer Subject: Re: paging Dr. Freud... rach wrote: > All of this talk about these weird little mind games that Chris likes to > play...doesn't it make any of you think that Chris is a > little...ummm..nuts??...not nuts like severe nuts...but just a little > bit off??...I think so, but he probably wouldnt be so *brilliant* > without it...and besides..it adds to his mysterious intregue... most definately. and that's what i like most about him, and what i can relate to most about him. he's so damn perceptive and so smart.... aaah, i'm not gonna babble cause not many of you will understand me anyhow. too bad... mindriot ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 22:54:53 -0800 From: Christi Lopez Subject: Re: SG TOYS?!?! ---CTMc4@aol.com wrote: > > In a message dated 98-12-01 23:43:28 EST, you write: > > << ...it came with miniature Hanes underwear...and it's pants would drop > down past the knee's!!! *wink* > ((((some of us can remember this particular picture, right?)))) > > Christi- >> > > haha! pantsed matt w/ "i'm gonna get you guys" grin. the perfect action > figure. > > charlie > You know it, Charlie!
