Having been around way back when the list was *different* I feel a need to comment on this. Yes, the list was a lot of fun back then and there were a lot of interesting personalities that posted a lot, BUT, don't think for a second that the flames weren't there. Flames back then got down right vicious. If someone didn't like your opinion, you heard about it and sometimes to the point of making you feel lower than a squashed ant. Soundgarden was a huge band but they still did not play stadiums (except lollapalooza. if I'm wrong and they did, someone please correct me). Like in NY, the city itself and the surrounding area are huge- they could have easily done one stadium show, but no, Soundgarden isn't Bush- soundgarden made 3 shows at a smaller venue where the whole thing is general admission which is, as any concert goer will agree with, loads better than sitting in a far off seat at a converted hockey stadium. I miss that kind of thing in bands.... a few days ago i D/Led the JCP video from the net.... I think i dropped a tear when watching it because much like bands of SG's "coolness" and audience appreciation don't appear much anymore, neither do any of their quality. back to the video- another little nostalgic(different spelling than before- dunno which is correct) note- all the bands today are gutless.
