I'll be happy to just >see/hear him play live again. >P&L+SG >Anna When you think about it, would CC really be doing a *cover* if he sang anything Soundgarden at one of his shows?? It is his work, his old band, his writing skills (if he chose one that he wrote, obviously).. anyway, i doubt any of the guys would mind if he chose to play SG. It's not like he would try to pass it off as his own solo work or even use it to draw fans in. He might just play SG stuff to fill space, like many others have said.. and to fulfill his own tracklist fantasies that maybe some of the guys objected to. Remember when we all hoped for Pearl Jam to play some Temple of the Dog (when the rumours circulated about Chris being a support act)? There was nothing wrong with that.. no one objected. So why would anyone not want Chris to play Soundgarden songs? just my thoughts Kogg ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 22 Nov 1998 10:21:29 PST From: The Cat Subject: Re: another cigarette before the execution... >From: Niki Freer > >hey sommsters... > > as i was on a hunger to hear "kyle petty" tonight, i popped in my Home Alive >comp, decided i liked the other mix better, so then i popped in my FOBD >single. so i let it play through, hunger quenched, and the birth ritual came >on. and, much to my surprise, i couldn't STAND the way the song sounded. first >i thought my speakers were going bad, then i thought the CD was messed up, >then i realized: it's NOT the same version as the "singles" version. but, it's >also NOT the demo version. at least the FOBD single doesn't say it's the >demo... anyhow, now i'm curious as to whether or not, like kyle petty, birth >ritual was recorded one way for "singles" and then another way for the FOBD >singles... > >mindriot Yes. The one on your FOBD single is the demo, even though it doesn't say so (I have the exact same one). The FOBD version is the same as the BiMH version, which lists the song as the demo (and which also misspells the song as 'Birth Control' =P). You can stand the demo version???? Gawd, I *can't stand* the Singles version! Do me a favor....listen to both versions closely, then tell me which one you like better =). /\ /\ 'o' -The Cat ==================== The Ask the Cat page: http://www.geocities.com/Pipeline/Dropzone/8176/ (I'll update it one of these days) ==================== Don't listen to the evil message below..... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 22 Nov 1998 13:53:55 EST From: Lance Huber Subject: Re: Chris Covering SG.... Frankly, Chris could sing his rendition of "Ten Little Indians" and "Mother Goose's favorite rhymes" as long as he gets his ass back on stage & gets a new album out. I need new stuff, all I care is that it comes out and SOON! Ben: Yeah. Jen: What tuning is Night Surf in? Ben: Standard. ...many more details at 11. I just got home late tonigh. I'm beat.
