Actually, I haven't known for eons. I just found out this evening from Angela, quoting this same article. I can easily believe it, though, since Ben has been playing with Pete Krebs at times for months now. If I hear anything further, I will be sure to post it. Pete Krebs will be opening most, if not all, of the upcoming Mark Lanegan shows, which makes me quite curious if Ben will be backing him up. It's not out of the question, since Mike Johnson performs solo for the second act and then backs up Mark's portion of the show. A double dose of Ben per show would certainly rock my world! 18 days and I get to see for myself!!! I don't remember reading about it on the Unofficial Sg Homepage (the fount of all knowledge :-) or anywhere else? "Global Alliance of Performers began in 1991 when a group of artists joined together to produce a highly successful concert to benefit the American and the International Red Cross during the Gulf War. The concert, "Support the Troops--Concert for Peace" was held at Seattle's Paramount Theater and featured a wide variety of culturally diverse performers **including Soundgarden's Chris Cornell**, Alice in Chains, Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson's Lovemongers, and more."
