I was wondering why the accuser wanted the person with the CD-R to be flamed..... Also, I may have mention awhile back, but when I bought Fresh Deadly Rarites, it was on a CD-R disc. Is it just me, or is there a little bit less sound quality when you listen to a CD-R disc as opposed to, say, a bootleg on a regular CD? Or perhaps the person who made my copy of FDR had the songs in MP3 format and then converted them to the format that CD players can read? ....I don't know, maybe it's just me. /\ /\ 'o' -The Cat Please excuse the stupid Juno message below....I didn't put it there :P ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Thanx!:] -Liz-Mailman- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Sep 1998 17:13:54 -0400 From: Dave George-Cosh Subject: Theatrical Musings By The Conspiracy Hey y'all, If you looked at the subject, it might as well be "Why I Think Matt Cameron Will Not Be Part Of PJ", but I liked that subject title better. So anyway, back to my little schpiel. Matt will not stay with PJ because of already scheduled stuff and I guess, PJ isn't going to kick Jack Irons out of the band just because Matt did a above par job. It wouldn't sound fair/be in PJ's philosophy to kick Jack, who is now done coping with his manic depression out of the band. So Jack will stay. Matt will start to tour, heavily I hope, with the Wellwater Conspiracy once WWC finds a major label to release their "propaganda" on to. Anyway, that's about it. I concoted my little theories after reading a few interviews and basically SOMMS/5H stuff. Feel free to comment on it. My best friend is like a HUGE Jim Carrey freak, and I mean OBSESSED. Just take Arden and replace Soundgarden with Jim Carrey, and there you have it. Ashley. :) Anyways, I started getting into SG really heavily in the 7th grade, about 6 months before DOTU came out, I think. Superunknown was my life when I finally got it (you know those sevies, constantly broke :P). One day, Ash and I got together to watch movies and shit, and we started talking about Jim Carrey, and I compared her obsession with him to Ard and SG. She got all wide-eyed and said "YOU LIKE SOUNDGARDEN!!!" and I was like "Yeah, where have YOU been". So she started spewing out all this shit about how Jim Carrey said alllll this stuff about them in an interview and how they were his favorite band and whatnot. Amazingly enough, this prompted her to buy SU and BMF, and eventually DOTU when it came out. And they grew on her and grew on her, and now I THINK they're still her favorite band ever "the Jim Carrey of music" as she put it. So, I guess the point of this mostly pointless story is, THANK YOU JIM! YOU'VE CONVERTED ONE FOR US!! :) punk ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Sep 1998 21:51:25 EDT From: Matt Hammons Subject: Jim Carrey I've heard mentions of Jim hailing soundgarden in many interviews. I respect jack irons, but my heart is with matt. if things don't work out for jack I hope that he moves on and that matt takes his place. that seems like the best case scenario, at least from my perspective. moreover, I must add that in these post-soundgarden times, I am excited about their prospects. I would expect big things from a pj + matt album; matt would be totally inspirational to their songwriting. I would also expect wonderful shows and perhaps even more wonderful recordings from ben, mark lanegan and mike johnson. ben fits into that puzzle perfectly. I await chris' record with some trepidation, and hope that he proves me wrong. I also hope that kim, like the rest of them, finds what makes him happy. justin ------------- q: is it easy kicking so much ass? a: yes, because there is so much ass to be kicked out there. -matt cameron, 1998. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Sep 1998 00:04:12 -0400 From: jenny grover Subject: new Wellwater Conspiracy interview here is a new interview with John McBain about Wellwater Conspiracy. This related to Toni's original post about Hype! airing on cable.. and then no one being about to really confirm it or whatever (you know, like in their tv guides and stuff..). Well, I was roaming around the PJ Rumor Pit, for my own reasons, and I saw their post about it. They say that it is to air October 7 at 5:30 am ET on Showtime. Now I checked the new tv guide and it's there so set your machines. If THAT is the case then MAYBE that SNL thing will show up next week also. I get a little SNL newsletter everyweek saying what reruns are airing that week so when I get it Monday, I'll be sure to let you know (if I remember) what's the dilly.
