Re: "Down On The Upsidewas another fine album, recorded during Cornell's allegedly serious drug problems; the record belies the band's internal strife with intense but highly melodic heavy rock. With continuing unrest in the camp, band decided to fold in April 1997." I think the original conclusion last time this issue came up was correct. They are confusing Scott Weiland and the Stone Temple Pilots with Chris Cornell and Soundgarden (amazing!). There are probably abstract companies that compile all these bio bits and sell them to web sites. So Michelle you are right! It is amazing how bad info spreads on the net! Best thing is to do what Arden or Punky and this is notify the web site that the information is false or at least unsubstantiated rumor and ask them to check their source or lose a customer! Yahoo! is a good site, I am sure they would like to know. Soundgarden has some of the best fans on the planet!!!! It is co-owned by Bill Flanders and I and as far as I know, all is working well at the moment. It's my first time doing this mailing list stuff, so I hope it's all set up right. :) You can subscribe by sending an email to: listproc@mcfeeley.cc.utexas.edu - with 'subscribe twistedfork FIRSTNAME LASTNAME' in the body. No subject is required. (where you obviously put in your own information where you see 'FIRSTNAME LASTNAME'. Make sure you're sending it from the email address you want to use for your Twisted Fork mail) After that, I'm guessing it works much like SOMMS.. Well we hope we hear from some of you soon. :) Koggle (& Bill!) ps. any questions send to me or Bill (whflanders@mail.utexas.edu) and not the list thanks.. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Sep 1998 11:49:14 EDT From: Shawnte Orion Subject: Re: the sommsfest community Hello all I was wondering what everyone thinks about creating a "Mind Riot" area (hehe), where you could go and see artwork that was created by fellow sommies? I like the sound; the rhythm of the sound, tempo, vocals, drums, guitars/bass, lyrics, etc. That one really stands out for me! "and sometimes i fantasize about chris cornell!" seriously my heart melted into a soft-serve cone!! and he was so soft-spoken and cute about it.. i desperately wanted to meet this guy. at that time the list was still a fetus.. and everyone i knew at that point laughed at the idea of chris being attractive.. it was nice to finally hear someone share my views on what's good looking and what isn't... since most girls i knew had a carbon copy image of what an attractive person embodies.. if you resemble anyone from the cast of "Dawson's Creek".. you're in the club... and as you can guess i'm thought of by some as mentally ill, after falling for kim... which pisses me off a great deal. -cats4kim ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Sep 1998 23:51:35 -0400 From: Brandon Baker Subject: Re: cute stuff ..loveline etc. This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BDE816.43E445C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable being someone who is straight and not meaning any insult to someone who = isn't.... i find that one of the strangest and most unexpected things i = think i have ever heard on this mailing list........... maybe we should = have more odd suprises on the list..... that one really woke me up. ------=_NextPart_000_0004_01BDE816.43E445C0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
