Wow! Thanks for sending that to the list Angela. It just shows another reason that I admire PJ and Chris. They use their public influence to try to make a difference to this world. Because really, even though they are specifically speaking of forest lands in the Pacific NW, this is a problem in many states (including my own.) My only question is, where's Matt, Ben and Kim? Surely Matt is aware of what they are doing, since he's on the road w/PJ. I had thought that the environment was a cause that all of the guys were vocal about! ~Michelle ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Sep 1998 15:53:17 EDT From: James Connolly Subject: chris cornell's future hey somms, i'm sure everyone hates this question, i sure did, before i went on my somms hiatus and forgot everything: when is the *expected* month when chris's solo album will be released? i know many people ask this question, but if it makes you mad, piss off jimi ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Sep 1998 17:33:03 EDT From: Mike Liacone Subject: chris cornell's future it is a good question. people on other bulletin boards and newsgroups are sticking with October. but it doesn't seem right to me. you'd think there would have been a single released. well, i will, continue to search for reliable information (with my good eye closed of course) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Sep 1998 21:03:45 PDT From: Star Pancake Subject: Re: Fwd: Pearl Jam, REM and Chris Cornell Request Meeting.... Well, I think that probably they couldn't say "Pearl Jam, REM, and Soundgarden" because... you know. And I sincerely doubt Gore has even heard of Kim and Matt and Ben... they haven't done much to make themselves known lately, and Chris has his album.. I think it's more of a possibility that Gore's heard of Chris then of M, B, or K.. pUnKy ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Sep 1998 21:15:48 PDT From: William Flanders Subject: Unreleased Soundgarden? This is the second effort to try to promote "virtual tapeswapping" of live performances of Soundgarden. The first push was very successful. The idea is to follow in the footsteps of other band groups and archive a live chronology of Soundgarden's work as mpeg-3 compressed files (1/12 the size of WAVs)... under the assumption that such material will never be released commercially anyway(atleast in the recording quality that is available in bootlegs) and won't compete with official releases, and will allow fans a chance to relive the days of old and hear some of the creative things soundgarden has done on stage. Our "host" has closed the account due to latency. However, if you have something to contribute, please reply with what you have and I'll try to convince him to re-open the site. Incidentally, I am seriously considering starting a Chris Cornell Solo site of the same caliber as Seth's Soundgarden site (as if that were possible). Any ideas would be appreciated. -Bill ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Sep 1998 01:11:57 EDT From: Kathleen Burrows Subject: what does a screaming birthday cake taste like?? hey kiddies, long time no talk.
