I am glad i'm in a fucking fabulous mood (believe me this is no sarcasm.. i am high on life, baby!!), or I would be close to following Matt's example and ditching this 'annoyance' once and for all.. but i don't think that is the answer.. i've been sticking with this list for far too long to let petty whinging and blatant bad grammar get in the road of my quest for Soundgarden knowledge. Like.. who cares?! Laugh at the fools and don't become one of them.. I learnt my lesson long ago.. 'bout time some others did. It's actually quite funny if you think about it. It goes like this: Someone writes to the list (about something meaningless and trivial) and someone disagrees (ooh, trouble in paradise!).. well like.. disagreement is just not on, man. I have to swear at them and make them cry and make myself look like a big tough dude so I can WIN WIN WINNNNNN!!! BWAHAHAHAHA! Or I hafta make a quick comeback loaded with sarcasm/badgrammar/annoyingkewlspelling and confuse/hurt/amuse everyone! yah! Then like..all at once a scientifically puzzling protesting hormone comes out and everyone gets on their high horses and yells "stop it, you meanie!! you can't do thattt! MUM-MY!!".. so everyone's yelling 'stop it! stop it!' at each other.. meanwhile no one's doing anything to be stopped.. so everyone gets flustered and confused and points fingers for awhile, then they either shut up for a bit, leave, or remain a prominent idiotic figure on the list.. I've seen it happen over and over.. it's a psychological trap.. i've tried to make sense of it all and tried to intervene and snap people out of it, but it is inevitable.. I think that maybe some others understand it like I do too.. I think the rest of you love it!! C'mon.. admit it! Go on! ;) anyway, I ain't leavin'! However, if it is a major broadcast station that plays a selection of current, chart-topping songs, then they don't take requests AT ALL. Here in Jersey, we have 92.3 KROCK which is a New York station that plays nothing but what's new. They also never take requests. There is however, three local stations that will play whatever the fuck you ask them to. I once requested Ty Cobb on one of the local stations when DOTU first came out just to see if they had the balls to play it, and they did. In fact, the dj liked it so much, he started playing it in the regular rotation. This goes to show that radio stations will take your request, as long as it is not part of a broadcasting network company or in a major location. Just getting that out of the way because I too posted about the Total Request idea. Now that that's out of the way...I would like to make an offer if it will bring peace on the list about the Total Request thingy. I have most (if not all) of the SG videos that they ever put out (I have heard that there is 2 versions of TOTD "Hunger Strike" but I'm not sure and I only have one). I can make copies (once I have a mster copy because they are all on different tapes) in a few months because of my VCR's being in storage. If this will stop the whinning and complaining that came along with the Total Request posts, please send your name and to me at Aferdity@hotmail.com and I will let you know when I can get to doing this. It will be sorta like when Lance made the audio tapes of b-sides and stuff (it was you, wasn't it Lance??) which I have to say was a kick-ass idea and I listen to mine all the time. Please, if I can help, let me know. Again, MTV does suck and I wish I got MuchMusic (but I don't) and to tell you the truth if I had the money, I would start my own All-Soundgarden-All-the-Time video channel but until I win the lottery, ya'll will have to wait.
