Hey SOMMSpals! Hope some of you still remember me :) It's Maria here and I've been watching around, keeping my eyes open, so yes I am still alive! Anyhoo, I've been keeping a little secret that only one or two SOMMSters knew... yup, my Matt obsession (and those who know me know this..) went bonkers and I was working on a webpage all for him. Unfortunately, my modem fucked up (can I say that?) and I couldn't get online for about a month. I just got a new one and I'm feeling back in the spirit... Another bad note... I updated to AOL 4.0 and they don't have my webpage publisher yet, so... who knows how long it'll be before the page is to it's best. So what I decided was to just go on ahead and give ya'll wut I gotz! Most of you will be happy to finally see it and to tell you the truth, it needs lots of work, but check it out!! And btw, there's more to come, cuz I've got another big secret :) hehehe, it's all for my baby, Bunchypants!!! :* Thanks for those of you that still remember me: http://members.aol.com/CameronJCP/matt.html Oh, and those of you that can help me will sizing those thumbnails, definitely e-mail me and tell me what should be fixed and what's fine and stuff.. Still luv ya all! - Maria ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Jul 1998 10:32:36 +0100 From: Deborah Baker Subject: Soundgarden at Esprit I just checked out Esprit's new improved website and there is a LOT of Soundgarden stuff for sale right now, including SOMMS, the duct tape version of Louder Than Live and the Sub Pop Room 1000 Years Wide/She's A Politician 7". Plus a rather fetching dayglo DOTU poncho ;-) The URL is http://eil.com and the list is updated daily. Prices (listed in dollars and sterling) look reasonable to me considering the rarity of the above items. Saying "what is > Helter Skelter" is somewhat like saying "what is Romeo and Juliet?" I disagree. I looked into the Beatles, found that they bored me to death, and never gave them a second thought. If I don't like a band I'm not going to bother learning all the names of the hundreds of songs they have, be it Aqua or the Beatles. Not worth the time. . . . Not knowing this song is not the most serious crime in the world however it isn't just one of hundreds of songs by the Beatles. It is the song that Charles Manson listened to as he and members of his cult killed a bunch of people. Manson ring a bell? It is also the one song that Soundgarden decided to cover the last time I saw them live so therefore is more important than another in a hundred songs by the Beatles or Aqua. of course....... ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ IF THIS ISN'T MAKING SENSE IT DOESN'T MAKE IT LIES ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ ------------------------------ End of SOMMS Digest - 1 Jul 1998 to 2 Jul 1998 **********************************************
