In other news, has anyone picked up the new Monster Magnet? The album is called "Powertrip" and is awesome. I found myself constantly being reminded of Badmotorfinger era Soundgarden. And if your looking for Soundgarden content, Monster Magnet toured with Soundgarden back on the Louder Than Love tour I believe. I have no idea how long ago, but Soundgarden were on an episode of BIll Nye the Science Guy. He was demonstrating how music was recorded and had them in the studio playing Kickstand (I think). Ever since I heard about this awhile ago on the list I've been *very* intrigued. =) Sarah (benlover) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jun 1998 17:24:19 -0500 From: David Reyes Subject: Re: ??? I think it was late 93 early 94, Chris was absent from the episode. I think they were working on their first single "Kickstand", it was going to be the 1st single off the album right?? 'Sted of Spoonman... Heh funny thing, I also saw a more recent episode they had a fake band doing a spoof on Spoonman, I dont remember what it was called but it was obviously a science related song... --David. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><<> I have no idea how long ago, but Soundgarden were on an episode of BIll Nye the Science Guy.
