Angela was lucky enough to observe one of these coveted gems in Ben's possession. I saw clips of the Tibetan Freedom Concert on MTV and I saw Matt, which was really cool. Did you guys hear about the accident with the lightning and stuff? Man, see at first you'd think that it was just good ole Mother Nature doin' her thing, right, but when you take a second thought you can clearly recognize that it was Matt's fault, right Jenny? Heheh, his drummin brought the house down...or should I say lightning down. - Maria P.S. The guy is Daniel Lanois, a famous producer who work with U2 and numerous other artists. But I think that if he produces, the record will be very "dry". Let's say not Sepultura-like, to stay in the tune of my last post... > Does anybody know why Ben Duct tapes his wallets?!? Not only Ben but the whole (ex) band. Because studio life is made of very long waits with nothing to do except playing video games, reading, drinking , (fill the blank with whatever you like) and indulging in bizarre crafts involving tape ducts.... > ALso i little tidbit of information: Did you know that Big Kahuna Burgers, > a fake restaurant created by Quentin Tarnatino, is in the following movies? > Resivoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, and From Dusk till Dawn. PIF 25,17 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Jun 1998 05:43:45 -0400 From: Anna Mincieli Subject: Peter Cornell band Hi Sommsters, Is Peter's two younger sisters still singing back-up with his new band, like they did with Inflatable Soule. I'm gonna miss hearing their beautiful back-up vocals. Katy and Maggie are yonger then Chris. In that article, I believe Chris was referring to being the youngest of the brothers. I am not equipped to send photo's over the net (on the webtv) - but give me an e-mail and I can send some postal. Maggie's the baby, it shows in those photos. I'm pretty sure that article is in one of my old SYZYGYs. Gabrielle ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Maybe a stupid question... Author: at aot-gateway Date: 6/17/98 1:59 PM Alright, my brain is cramped with thought. Someone mentioned Peter Cornell's band, Chris sightings, and how Ben was at the show held at the OK Hotel but there was no Chris. For the first time I wondered if Chris is close to all his brothers and sisters. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how many there are but I've read it somewhere many of times; I just don't want to put down a number that sounds right and embarrass myself. Does anyone know of any pictures of the siblings together or anything like that?? Please don't think I'm trying to pry into the man's private life (far from it) or anything along those lines, I was just curious... Take care and be sweet!!! I read in Rolling Stone during DOTUS that it is kind of a tradition. He makes them out of duct tape and pieces of drum skin? (sorry drummers, i'm severly lacking in proper drum terminology) to make little holders for credit cards. That's interesting that SPIN had that in their article, cause Chris isn't the youngest. In fact, his youngest sister Maggie is about 24 by now, or maybe a little older, and according to karen, his mom, in an interview published in SYZYGY, she's the youngest. Someone just posted that Chris was the middle child....as in the Bobby Brady of the Cornell Dynasty...well, I dont think so. In SPIN of July 96..(SOUNDGARDEN on the cover)it says on page 48... "Cornell grew up as the youngest of six children in a lower-middle-class Catholic family in Seattle. He did his share of hell-raising as a ateen, and was kicked out of both seven and eight grade (twice); after his parents divorced, he left school for good at 14 and help support his mom by working as a cook at a seafood restaurant. "I still regret dropping out, especially being a guy who writes words for a living. I pretty much have a seventh grade Catholic school education; it would have been helpful if I had continued."
