I finally got back on the list (jesus, I know i'm slow). I just wanted to say hey to everyone and get some info. on the SOMMSfest that is going down in Seattle on the 21st (isn't that right??). Just a tid-bit of info.: for awhile after I got off the list (due to school cutting into my parting and my reading of SOMMS) I kinda got away from sg. Don't get me wrong, okay, I still love the band and would drive to the end of the Earth to get some cd I don't have and sale my soul to have the money to buy it, but I guess becasue I didn't have SOMMS to read and got away from anyone who ever wanted to listen to sg much less discuss something to do with the band. Anyway, no need to worry, I'm cured. I've started spending money (I don't have) on great sg goodies that I would be glad to share with my fellow SOMMSters (with no profit on my part) for trading or whatever and sg is once again one of my daily food groups (you know everyone needs food to survive; well, I need food and sg *most important*). Just thought I would throw that in because I know you all were just DYING to hear (read, whatever) it!! Well, off to work I go!! Take care and be sweet!!! Stay Cool, Kelly (c: ~There was this grasshopper who walked into a bar and sat down. The bartender looked at him said, "Did you know we have a drink named after you." The grasshopper said, "Oh really, you have a drink named Steve."~ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Jun 1998 10:51:30 EDT From: Kelly Hendricks Subject: *ATTENTION* (please read) For all the SOMMSters interested in going to the Seattle SOMMSfest on July 21 and can't find tickets to the sold-out (supposedly) Pearl Jam show; I have two for sale (this breaks my heart to have to sale these). So, if you're interested please e-mail me and it will either be first-come-first-serve or if there are a lot of people that reply then I will have a drawing. They will be $35.00. This includes the price of the tickets, tax, and postage. Take care and be sweet!!! Matt's got a great idea to get this list peppy again. I am now introducing the SG/SOMMS Brainteasers, which I can come up with easily. Please send all answers privately to Nothng2Say@aol.com. As soon as I receive a correct answer, I will post it and award the first to reply with an official "Matt Hammons Pat-on-the-Back." These will not be simple trivia questions, but you might just have to know more than just stuff about SG. So let's get started with a nice and hard one........ 1) "The Hand of God" 2) "Like Suicide" 3) "Zero Chance" 4) "Somewhere" 5) ??? WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING SONGS COMPLETES THE ABOVE SEQUENCE?? AND WHY??? A) "Dusty" B) "Searching with my Good Eye Closed" C) "The Hand of God" (again) D) "Outshined" E) "Drawing Flies" I will remind you this is a pretty hard one, and could be up to some musical interpretation (hint, hint), but NO GUESSING, you must state why you gave your answer. GOOD LUCK!! (Once again do not send answers to the list please.) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Jun 1998 09:56:15 -0700 From: Andrew Snodgrass Subject: SG Mp3 archive... could someone send me the address to the archive?
