I misunderstood Cronky's intentions and everything's been cleared up between us. . . .I'm posting this to the list so I don't get any more emails about it, and so everyone knows I'm not a TOTAL bitch. . . so no more posts about it? -Ugly Truth ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Jun 1998 22:40:00 EDT From: Scott Hammer Subject: FS/T: _SU_ Wax, "PN" CD Gots a couple of dupes here. _SuperUnknown_ on orange wax (only opened it to find out what color it was, hopin for blue, but no such luck) & "Pretty Noose" UK CD b/w "Jerry Garcia's finger". I paid $40 for the wax & $10 for the disk. If ya want to buy em, lemme know (only asking what I paid, I'll hook up the shipping) or if ya wanna trade check out http://members.aol.com/O6z6z6Y/sgstuff.html (Warning: it's heavily underdeveloped)...the comps & soundtrax aren't up yet, but everything else is. If ya have anything that isn't there (check the serial #'s peeps) let me know. I'll let responses float in till near the end of June & have my 2 year old yank names off the comp to see where they go. You both have valid points with just trading for stuff you dont already have....BUT, yuo also have to take into consideration that some sg fans might not have a lot in their collection, maybe beacuse they cant find anything, or for another reason, but anyways, if they dont have anything that you dont already have, theyre just s.o.l! Basically, sg fans that have your evryday run-o-the-mill non- rareties(like me for example), who want SOMMS BADLY, have no chance in gettin it! So, you both do make valid cases, because the person who has SOMMS in the first place, calls all the shots, so they can basically do what they want with it, im not sayin its fair or not, but you cant criticize the guy for at least sellin it, and not keepin it or askin 100's of bucks for it! weel, theres my 2 cents -GwYn **...and bound to die alone...** ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Jun 1998 00:48:47 -0500 From: Michele Subject: Re: take it off... jenny grover wrote: > > Soundgarden in the grocery store...Soundgarden on TV sportscasts... > Here's an excerpt from Kerrang! 6-27-92, an article in which Matt, Ben, > and roadie Randy review the lastest singles: > > Weird Al Yankovic- "Smells Like Nirvana" > > Matt: The video is God, but I don't think twice about the record. Mike Smith writes: >we all enjoy sg in our own special way, some listen while working out, >some listen while driving, some listen while.....you get the point. >i was just curious, has anyone had a sg/lsd experience? i had one hell of an incredible experience with SG the one single time i've done acid. i was actually very wary of listening to them, as i tend to forever associate things, but while we were "coming down" i guess, we put on "4th of July." it was just this amazing thing. the song entered my body like the most sensual thing i have ever experienced in my entire life. it was the single craziest and memorable experience all in like 3 seconds flat. the entire song gave me these visions like nothing i'd ever seen and i ended up writing an entire poem about it. (me waves in the direction of jen grover!!) i'll let anyone read it who cares to, just drop me a line if you want to read it. the song created this image of me, but dead (hmmm, notice a trend here? my mind likes to conjur the dead for me when it knows i have a big problem with death) and somehow or another, chris had killed me (a la pretty noose or not, i don;t know) but he was carrying me naked down this deserted like arizona desert road in the dead of night with trillions of brilliant stars in the sky and this beautiful rain puddle i had seen earlier in the night flashing in and out of the vision. the rain drop ripples moved in such slow motion that it looked like liquid silver.... it was serisouly the most incredible thing. amazing.... i could feel chris carrying me, i could feel the cool desert night air...i could hear the silent footsteps... amazing. mind riot _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Didn't find much on the web and so I'm wondering if anyone has some info and/or is a big fan, because this artist is unknown here... So e-mail me if it rings a (big) bell PIF - looking for Opus... ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Jun 1998 08:35:41 EDT From: Tracy Thompson Subject: superuninterview SOMMS-sters, Yesterday while out at one of the local record stores here in Cleveland, I came across a copy of "Superuninterview". It was only $2.50, and it is Soundgarden, so I bought of course. When I got home and looked at the CD more in-depthly...I noticed that imprinted on it was "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY". Can anyone tell me anything about this interview CD? It's not like any of the other interview CD's I have heard. Email me privately please, if you would. Most experiences have been extremely cool. (Other factors obviously influence the quality of your trip) There are two especially memorable experiences. The first was a few months after the one and only time I saw Sg, on the superunknown tour. I was at home, and just starting to go up, watching this interview with the cult on muchmusic. They were going to show their new video, from their last album. I decided to watch it despite the fact that it was the cult. Immediately after, with little fanfare, they played the "galactic premiere" of My Wave. I will never forget the feeling of utter awe when I saw the blue guy appear, flip over the hourglass, and smile. I hardly remember a happier moment while tripping. I suppose this is the reason why I like that video so much, when others despise it. The other cool experience was when I spent most of a trip exploring Alive in the Superunknown on my computer. That was intense. That's about all I have to say. I won't even mention the time I was listening to Birth Ritual and tried to jump through the wall. This has been buggin my mind ever since I found sgi.net...why on the site under releases is "Spoonman" vacant? I know it's in the full discog that is attatched to the site, but why isn't it included with the other sinlges on the unofficial page?
