These are in order too :SWMGEC, Karaoke, Hunted Down, TDITTL, Beyond The Wheel, Nothing To Say, Ugly Truth, Superunknown, Like Suicide, No Attention, I Awake, JCP, Drawing Flies, BUTOW, All Your Lies, Slaves and Bulldozers, Birth Ritual, Overfloater, Nazi Driver, Rusty Cage. > > > 4.) How much everyone considers themselves a Soundgarden fan. I'm on SOMMS aren't I? This a dumb question. I think every person that has filled out this survey has said that so I may as well too. > > > 5.) Favorite Soundgarden Quote and why? This is a toughie but I'm gonna say its from TDITTL because the lyrics in it are brilliant."Words you say, never seem to live up to the ones inside your head, The lives we make, never seem to ever get us anywhere but dead." I especially like this part because its true. Also there are a few quotes from Drawing Flies which I enjoy also. > > > 6.) Favorite Soungarden Side project and why? > Temple of The Dog because I haven't heard any of the other side projects. I've already seen Pearl Jam when they recently toured Australia. Why couldn't Jack Irons pull out for health reasons before then???? I want to see the great Matt Cameron in action dammit!! I thought I was fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam when they toured NZ, but now MATT CAMERON joins bloody PJ to help out on their tour, and I am severely pissed. If I had not seen Soundgarden over a year ago, then I would be expressing my dissatisfaction severely. On the other hand, congrats to all those holding tickets to the rest of PJ's concerts - you lucky bastards. > > I cannot believe my luck!!!!!! > I've already seen Pearl Jam when they recently toured Australia. He toured with the Chilli Peppers, and with PJ for a while, he's just had enough. During the short PJ tour so far, he has not enjoyed himself. I think Matt will do a great Job and hopefully enjoy his stay with PJ. Irons will be staying as PJ's drumming-member after the tour. Now I just need to get Tix for that damn Washington DC show in Sept. :) later, Opus ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Apr 1998 09:04:50 EDT From: KAISERVRBL Subject: Re: Survey 1.) What is your favorite Soundgarden album and why is it your favorite? Badmotorfinger. Without a doubt. It is the band's consumate effort. From the music to the lyrics to the mix to the production all pistons are firing evenly making it the defining moment in the succession of Soundgarden. I believe this was the pinnacle for them. Everything they had been working for seemed to manifest itself on BMF. And in the subsequent next 2 albums, they never quite recaptured the same momentum. 2.)Who is your favorite member of Soundgarden and why? Chris. Hands down. Aside from his voice, I think he is an amazing writer. Old SOMMSters have heard me harp on this fact many times in the past. 3.)What would be THE PERFECT set list for Soundgarden to do in a consert (if they were still together of course) Doesn't matter. They put on a good show regardless. 4.) How much everyone considers themselves a Soundgarden fan. Fanatic. I collect their music, hats, T-shirts, etc. I've blown more fucking money on these guys than any adult ever should. But what can I say. The band has moved me & not many things in this fucked up world have. 5.) Favorite Soungarden Quote and why? Don't remember the exact quote but it was when Chris said something to the effect that being religious was akin to being a fish & he didn't want to be a fish. That pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. ****If anyone out there has his EXACT quote, please Email it to me. THANX**** 6.) Favorite Soungarden Side project and why? TEMPLE OF THE DOG. Because I think it is ***THE**** greatest album ever made in history. Better than any band, of any time or era ever. TOTD is a PERFECT moving, rocking, moving, beautiful piece of work. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Apr 1998 11:53:04 -0400 From: Laura Fletcher Subject: Themes page The infamous Laura/Lumberjill has returned! Yes, my lazy ass left the Soundgarden Themes page in ruins for a while (complete with broken links and typos), but now it's remodeled and UPDATED! THE OLD CATEGORIES: Christianity & Religion, Snakes, Dogs, and Flowers & Feathers BRAND SPANKIN' NEW THEMES: The Sun, Fire & Candles, Water Rivers & Rain, Crying & Tears, Black & Darkness, Blood, Lies & Truth, and Monkeys! ((( http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stage/2769/sgmusic.html ))) Now comes my simple yet fervent request: You see, I live in a rather rural area of the 'states. I don't own many b-sides because they're hard to come by. If I left out a few important rare tracks (such as Fresh Deadly Roses from the Flowers & Feathers category), PLEASE take my survey and tell me. Thanks to everyone who has visited so far and an even bigger thanks (yes, favoritism!) to the visitors who completed the Soundgarden survey! If you have a lot to add/say/yell about, email me too since the comments boxes on forms (which is what the survey is) can't hold very much text (Brian!). Thanks in advance folks! ~~Laura (Lumberjill) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Apr 1998 14:29:19 EDT From: Nothng2Say Subject: Pearl Jameron Man! Now I'm definitely going.
