Hello Sommsters, It's giveaway time again! Don't get too excited because I am going into reruns. I was in Barnes & Noble last night(looked for ya Ben...jammin but I didn't see you!) and there were three lonely copies of the Soundgarden CD book languishing on the shelf. In order to prevent my fave band from any shame(by being left on the sale rack) I bought the copies and now I am offering to any of you who entered and didn't win last time! Or are new to the list and didn't get to enter. So once again here is the deal. If you are interested in receiving free of charge, postage guaranteed, brand new Soundgarden CD book written by Jon Ewing.(It is shaped like a CD hence the name) Send me an e-mail to tonerkin@pipeline.com NOT TO THE LIST!!! I will enter your name in a drawing(method of drawing not decided yet) and if your name gets picked ....YOU WIN! I pay the postage btw. Everyone is welcomed to enter(that means all you far flung expensive to mail to Aussies!.) I will accept e-mail until Tuesday March 17th(guess we'll have a St. Patrick's day drawing) Good Luck and may the best sommster win! Of course, if you are the worse sommster and I know that your chances of winning go down dramatically!! :-o toni ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Mar 1998 11:57:22 EST From: CTMc4 Subject: SOMMS DRUMMERS if there are any still on the list...i'm looking for another bass drum pedal. if anybody happens to have an extra one they want to get rid of, anything is better than this one. i especially find it annoying when my pedal flies apart half way through "gun". the keywords here are cheap and good. if i can't fix my current one or get a good deal on a used one, i'll try back here. SG CONTENT i tried the kind of pedal matt uses, a 'dw5000' or something. those really well. i want one! oh well. charlie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Mar 1998 11:48:14 -0600 From: Mayor McCheese Subject: Are 'Friends' Electric? Hello everyone once again! I have been lurking, but i am going to seattle this coming Friday and was wondering if any shows or if anyone feels like a beer at the OK with me? (smile) Also, any info about shows would be welcome (I'll be there about a week with friends). What would you think of a Chris Cornell side project involving Slash on lead guitar... maybe just a Temple of the Dog type of thing? I read Slash's invitation again and this came to mind. Maybe if Chris' solo album is all slow and acoustic, he could fire up some punk and metal in a side project with Slash... Just a thought.. Bill ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Mar 1998 18:28:06 EST From: BDMOTRFING Subject: Re: Slash and Chris Why not it would be a good idea, Slash was about the best thing besides Izzy Stradlin going on in G n R. I know that Chris is likely to use either mainly unknown musicians or a guest list of contributing players from popular bands. Slash could work on a song or two. *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ IF THIS ISN'T MAKING SENSE IT DOESN'T MAKE IT LIES *^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Mar 1998 19:53:41 -0600 From: pmi/000412 Subject: !!!!!!! Ok, this is just an outrage against all humanity. There were 500 of those fuckers made, 11 years ago at that. Don't you think that if any of us was lucky enough to find one, we'd horde it all for ourselves? These attrocities against our people must end. Fight the power. I had a dream. Anger is a gift. People, quit posting asking for impossible miracles, they're not going to happen. Unless, of course, Mr. Jesus is on the list, he can grant those miracle things pretty easily. Go look for the stuff youselves, you bloody lazy slags, it's not hard to do. Oh, while I'm posting, if anyone out there has the master tapes from the Screaming Life sessions, I've been looking for them for forever, can you help me find them? I'll trade you for my CD copy of it. Thanks. -- i have spoken. bye bye -js mailto:jordans@ucsd.edu http://sdcc10.ucsd.edu/~jasnodgr/fm/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 8 Mar 1998 01:20:05 -0500 From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?S=F6ren?= Franson Subject: Jordan Snodgrass wrote: > Yeah, I got a copy..
