Of course, most of the soundgarden merchandise was more expensive in Seattle than elsewhere. I would say if you can find it for less than $50 in mint condition you should go for it. Anybody else? >> I got mine "in SEATTLE" at for only $15 in December of 1996. It was on sale, normally 3 times that, but I only paid $15 bucks. It's only on black vinyl, but I thought it was a pretty cool score. I've never listened to it because I don't own a turn table anymore, but hell, that's not reason to stop collecting right? If you look for stuff you can find it relatively cheap. I bought Superunknown on blue-vinyl here last year for only $10 bucks, Stolen Prayers for $15, and SOMMS for $17. It's around if you look for it. The Grape vinyl was $39.99 at a record shop in Bucktown here in Chicago. I just couldn't justify buying it. I have never seen it again! :(((( I just got it on black vinyl in November and paid $15 for it. On another note. Yesterday's February four play on 103.5FM was Soundgarden. Got to hear lots of great music. Even made my trip home from the dentist pleasant even though the sadistic dental hygienist from hell about killed me!! Sunshower was #3 on the Rock Top Ten on 103.5fm for the last two weeks. I haven't heard this week yet. toni ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Feb 1998 09:46:29 EST From: Rachel Potter Subject: solo who is going to play instriments for chris' solo album... is he going to stick with eleven? is he going to play the drums himself?!? -Rachel ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Feb 1998 14:32:06 EST From: Mike Gallagher Subject: Re: Earthquake I wonder if he got the boys permission to do that. They could sue the shit out of House of Pain. I wouldn't want them to though. HoP is the only rap group I like. What isn't to like about a bunch of white, Irish rappers? It's just funny, but the truth is, they're good. Sorry for the non-Soundgarden, pro-rap comment. I regret it already. Well actually, he could use Eleven, I mean, they seem to make nice music together and also it would be a little treat if maybe Chris did play the drumset for his album.. maybe for just a few songs, or if he wanted to do the whole album then more power to him. I mean, we know he's a good percussionist and it would be cool to hear him on drumset. Or another idea is that maybe he could ask his brother to jam with him or something, or maybe his sisters or whatever.. It's all going to be unpredictable so I guess that's the great thing about Chris doing an album. The Dj said that they would be playing a new song by C.C., and I was a little hesitant because of the mixed reviews I've been hearing from y'all. But, I thought that it sounded pretty darn good...in fact, I think I'll buy the soundtrack. A really kind of easy-going mature sound by my estimation. I liked it. It's all going to be unpredictable so I guess that's the great >thing about Chris doing an album. I really hope he doesn't do everything with Eleven. I respect the band for what they present as a unique and twisted perspective on melodies, but I don't like it enough for it to define the future of Cornell. I remember some of you expressing dismay over "Ave Maria".... like they screwed up a decent Catholic song. Well... they didn't screw up. That was actually just what they intended. All those weird, disharmonious, half-tone moans by Natasha really represent what Eleven is all about, stretching the limits between opposite emotions. Really, don't you hear a mixture of the love for Mother Mary and pure horror? Maybe not in Chris' voice, but definately in the rest. Sunshower didn't have the same vibe, but that's probably because it was Chris' idea...
