Yesterday, The Original Pretty Noose wrote: Ok, I just heard that Queensryche is getting rid of their guitarist (name escapes me now) and he is joining Pete Cornell in recording an album. Could you imagine the 2 Cornells on tour together, that would kick some ass! I can add that the guitarist's name is Chris DeGarmo, and he is an excellent, innovative musician. It will be interesting to hear what he and Peter Cornell create together. So now Peter has a brother AND a partner named Chris: things could get confusing around there. ;) On the flip side, I'm very sad that Queensryche has lost Chris; the band has lost its key creative force and has good as broken up for me. I can only hope that both of the Cornell brothers make some very interesting music in the near future. Life Rules! Dagny ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Feb 1998 09:29:15 -0800 From: "S. From guitar magazine's interview w/ Kirk Hammett of Metallica <> On a lighter note, anyone think Kirk is starting to look just a bit like Chris, esp. on the cover of Guitar??? ~Matt ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Feb 1998 19:51:35 -0500 From: Jaime Gonzalez Subject: Re: Sun shower tab Hey,The March '98 issue of Guitar ftmp,Kirk Hammett, on the front cover, contains the tabalature for Guitar and bass for Sun shower. Acoustics guitars in Dropped D tuning. That's DADGBe,low to high the mag also reviews the great expectations sound track recording. Hot spots include solo by Chris Cornell, sounds like a Sg Ballads except for the guitar, which are too laid back for Kim Thayil guitar work. yes,I think the guitar mags really like Sg and Chris last month it was Bleed Together and now this. send your request for more Sg tunes to the editors and maybe they will print more transcriptions. On JCP just as Chris is about to sing, it starts jumping. No other song or CD does it. Soooo.. I took it back, got another CD.....and what do you think happens? it does exactly the same job. It's starting to pee me off. Is it supposed to do this or am I unlucky too??
