Has red and black flannel trim on the sleeves--if you roll them back it shows. Zips up. It's big, like some sort of one-size-fits-all. BMF logo on left side. Not real heavy, just cotton. But as I was talking to my friend, about some stuff on TV, listening to Sunshower, and to make a long story shory, I believe that Sunshower is a song directed to Andrew Wood. It's got that soft, bitter, mellow tone that he also sings with BHS and Mind Riot, but that's not enough for a Andy Wood song. Well...I think that with the breakup of Soundgarden, now gives Chris new freedom to write/express himself about more personal issues than what he felt that he could before, with being a part of a whole. I mean to say that he might have not felt comfortable with writing a love song about his wife and have it work well as a Soundgarden song. But now that he is a free agent... he might now feel freely to extend a bit more of himself ..than when he was one part of three others. In other words...that she gets under his skin in a pleasent way...(like all us loving wives do..**hehehe) She brings him joy with her laughter..and maybe what he means by "..on forgotten graves you cry.." Being that she sometimes tends to bring up bad times/old wounds that he's long forgotten about... (you men know how us women can be!...) ;-) When Chris sings: "It's alright...when your all in pain and you feel the rain come down...it's alright" Again, to me Chris may be simply referring to her having bad days (like we all do) ...or in a gloomy mood (after all- they live in Seattle where it's gloomy and rains all the time) and he reasures her that it's alright...because the feelings are normal and will soon pass as quickly as they came... "When you find your way and you see it disappear.... Oh....it's alright" With the above verse, I can maybe see Chris referring to Susan and her struggle and hard work to make a name for herself in the Seattle music industry (which she has done) and now that things are changing for her (with the breakup of Soundgarden, along with her choice to retire) alot of what she's worked to acheive for her beloved Soundgarden is now pretty much all over. Again Chris reasures, that it's okay to feel that way...and reminds that he's proud of all her accomplishments and her hard work and is also so much aware of all of her fine points..and that someday they will meet at that halfway point of happiness. As Chris backs up my hypothesis with: "..though your gardens gray...I know all your graces, someday we'll flower...in a sweet sunshower" "Eyes like oceans so far away... feathered trail to a better way" Maybe the bottom verse refers to Susan personality...maybe she is distant to him at times?? Or maybe this referres to the times when they're apart (with him recording or what not...and her working all the time )And she does have green eyes!(I've met her!) And maybe what he means by a "feathered trail to a better way" ...is that now after her retirement...she now has the opportunity to begin a new life for herself? To quote a press release: "Susan Silver Retires to persuse other interests.." ..bottom line, Chris is singing... that as time may pass ...they both will hit a point in their lives where both will have a sence of complete happiness with themselves and each other. (amongst the eventual clearing of the Seattle skys...and all will be well ...) Leco" Subject: Dedicating Sunshower Hi all, Ok. There have been a lot of interpretations flying around about what Sunshower means. And some of you are getting pretty in depth there. But the one that I like the best (and one that I think a lot of you out there would like to be reminded of) was posted to the list way, way back before the soundtrack was even released. Someone (and for the life of me I can't remember who) had said that they thought that Sunshower was possibly dedicated to all of us SG fans. Kind of a good bye, and thanks for the memories. And I guess if you look at the lyrics, it can be interpreted that way, but I will spare you all from the line by line analysis. I don't think of Sunshower being a depressing song (as someone else had mentioned). When I listen to the lyrics, I think of past bad times and good times. And if I'm in a bad time right now, it's OK. Because I'm strong and I will pull through it. And there will be many more memorable good times to be had. So I won't wallow in the past. But hey, this is not meant to be an intro into the psyche of Michelle. I'm just saying that I find the song to be inspirational and uplifting! But I guess that my point is that all of these interpretations are just guesses. It could be some deep love song to Susan, or a sad memory of Andrew, or it could even be a sappy song written to fulfill the purpose of the soundtrack. But if I'm going to guess about what Sunshower is about, I think I'll go with thinking it's for all of us. After all, a song can mean different things to different people.
