We all know that, and I don't care. But back to what I was going to say was that they were going through *their* recommended music gifts and I happened to tune in on the 'Heavy Metal' category. Before the host Matt Pinfield went into Led Zeppilin he said something like: "If your gift giving friend was saddened as I was to the breakup of Soundgarden you can give them their greatest hits CD A-Sides." That's not an exact quote :). Then he said something like "If you want to hear some of the stuff Soundgarden got their inspiration from you can get Led Zeppilins BBC album....". They didn't show a Soundgarden clip for A-Sides, Matt just mentioned A-Sides for 5 seconds. Oh well, MTV will continue trying to influnce musical culture to what *they* want you to hear in the almighty pursuit of the dollar. "And I don't like what you got me hanging from....." /\ /\ 'o' -The Cat ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Dec 1997 00:20:07 +0100 From: Lorraine Nemec Subject: Re: sg za praha i remember back in... oh, i think it was in spring some time... i talked w/ someone from hungary who'd been to the show in prague... i don't remember your name, whoever you are - but if you're still out there (and i highly doubt it), could ya be in contact??? elfin@ptd.net thanx...
