Yes i'm the one who's volunteered to let my time get sucked up by the SOMMS directory.. hehe :) what a way to get back into it.. There's been a pretty good response so far and i've put the results i've received up on http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Alley/6953/ICQ.html the thing is, i'd like some input on what you would like to see.. it's a SOMMS directory-type thing to be used by list members, so you should all have a say.. reply to me personally though, and i'll let you all know how it's going every now and then.. I've focussed on ICQ and email addys more than anything else because that's what most people have.. i was thinking maybe i could put it all on one page (IRC & AOL info too) in a table design like the one i already have put up.. but what information do people want? it would get a little crowded and yucky.. and i'm also too lazy to put it in alphabetical order :) i had someone request that i re-do what seth did pre 1997.. but make it more up to date.. put a whole lot of information about each list member on my page.. what do you all think about that? and seth, what kinda troubles did you run into before? am i getting way in over my head? hehe well hit me with your ideas, people... i'm readddy.. hehe koggy ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Dec 1997 09:03:38 EST From: Aferdity Subject: Should we stand in line... > soundgarden related: he says that "soundgarden", or more specifically chris > cornell, will participate in another self-pollution radio-type broadcast > that pj are doing, that will take place on january 31! > If this goes through, I know I'm going to want a copy of it because, well, I just got the other SPR not very long ago. I would like to find someone that will make me a copy after/if it airs. Please keep us updated on this!!! Take care and be sweet!!! Don't know what to buy yourself for xmas? This is it! We're Outta Here!, the new Ramones video, and yes Ben and Chris are in it, along with a cast of other notables (including Eddie Vedder). Just got it today (it's on sale all month at CDnow). My first thought was, why is a vid in such a big package? Lo and behold, it includes a cd of the last concert! The vid is an hour and 50 min. of fun, reminiscences, interviews, concert footage, archival footage, etc. We get Chris introducing (in typical "fucking" "goddam" Chris fashion) and Ben playing guitar on Chinese Rock and later on we get Chris and Ben in the dressing room listening to them jam. Be sure to watch in the mirrors in this scene, too! (And fellow Ben-women will appreciate the nice ass-within-grabbing-distance shot). The cd booklet also has a very nice color photo of Chris, Ben, and Kim with C.J. and Joey. Like xmas coming early! (and I finally got my KOTS card today too. Very nice pic!) 1-2-3-4! Kim has supposedly put down his guitar recently to do some work for us real fans. He already compiled a listing of songs for "A-sides" (I don't know why "NTS" was on it and not "HD"!) and has talked about releasing an all b-sides compilation. Maybe Kim is out there listening to us at SOMMS and is looking for ideas. Well, here's my idea. The first thing that would be released is a video with all their unedited music videos on it (Flower/ Loud Love/ Hands All Over/ Get On The Snake(?)/Jesus Christ Pose/ Outshined/ Rusty Cage(?)/ Room....(?)/ Here's my idea.... Re-release MOTORVISION!!! I've been searching for a *long* time, and can't find it anywhere. But a compilation of their music videos is a great idea too. And on a more recent thread.... Do any of you know how one goes about discovering the schedule information of such a broadcast, beyond the date? As in, what local station, what time, etcetera, etcetera? Awesome breakthrough performances by Robert DeNiro and Jodie Foster, and the best performance is by Harvey Keitel the pimp.
