Its an awsome song, that I find quite funny. I think it was recorded with Louder Than Love, it has that sound to it. You people should learn to love EVERY soundgarden song. It is one of my favorites! Oh, I got a copy of BADMOTORFINGER and SOMMS in really good condition for $60 at Cellophane Square here in seattle!!! No, I don't get an option whether to download it or not, or any idea of what's in there ahead of time. It hasn't taken any unreasonble amount of time, though. I think there should be no hard feelings against anyone here on this matter and maybe some of us learned something about computers. :) Smile! Be nice! I've had a cranky week and I'm tired of crankiness for now. Go put on Ave Maria and get in the fucking Christmas spirit, for Christ's sake. Jen ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Dec 1997 02:35:49 -0800 From: The Cat Subject: ...and I'm in the dark Hellboy- The Burden in my Hand single I have has the tracks: Burden in My Hand (of course :)), Karaoke, Bleed Together, and the original version of Birth Ritual which IMHO sounds ten times better than the version on the Singles soundtrack. And that damn Chumbawamba song is pissing the hell out of me too (as you already know I think). It's played 30 times a day (no kidding) on my local alterna-radio station. Is it just me or does yesterday's digest seem cut-off? I sent the e-mail 'On forgotten GRACE you cry' which I know at least one of you got but it didn't show up in the digest. Hmmmm......... Sunshower will be released on the Great Expectation soundtrack only, to answer Michelle's question, and I guessing here because I've never seen a song written for a movie soundtrack released as a single. I wish it would. Same for Ave Maria. Okay, I'm sleepy. Good Night peoples. What if the other sg members joined allredy existing bands, what band could they join. Not that i want them to, I just thought it was a funny thought i got. I did'nt really think what bands they would fit in, more what band that was missing a member. So here is my ideas. Chris: The Doors, Inxs, Queen. Matt: REM. Kim: Foo-Fighters(I think), Ben: couldnt come up with any. Please help me on this one. Ok so it didnt become a huge list.. As for my own ideas, Sepultura needs a new singer, what do you think Chris? hahaha. Later! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Dec 1997 12:20:57 EST From: Gallagwar Subject: Other bands! I think Chris would sound good in any of those bands. He'd probably be good for Nirvana if Groehl would quit Foo Fighters (god do they suck). He would have been better than that bumb Cobain to begin with. Matt would be cool with REM plus he's got an REM personality, kinda dorky yet cool and well-spoken. Ben, well I don't know about Ben. There aren't many bands in need of a bassist. As for Kim, he'd be terrible with Foo cuz he's just too good for them. I'd think he'd be best suited for Guns'n' Roses. Ya never know what's goin' on with Slash (best guitarist ever) and Kim's creative genious would fit in perfectly with Axl's recklessness. That'd rock, and I'm not ever a G'n'R fan! Their style and Soundgarden's are completely different. Here's a little scenario to give you an idea of what I mean: Kim: Dammit, Dave! Quit playing straight-eighth power chords! I want to do a solo! Dave: Solo? What 'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis? This a power pop band! We can't cater to your musical masturbation! Kim: And I can't cater to your love of no talent, power chord trippin', "I want to be better than Nirvana" crap! (They start beating each other with guitars. Kim wins.) Now, before you say "Damn e-mail, I think I'll press Del...." I have a suggestion. Seth, maybe when a person joins SOMMS, you can send them an e-mail telling them the rules we keep on this mailing list. If you have one, and I'm just making myself sound stupid, add this. DO NOT SEND MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF ATTACHMENTS - IN FACT DO NOT SEND ATTACHMENT OVER THE LIST. Reason? Half of the people here use a e-mail software that cannot decode attachments and therefore are left wondering if they should phone up AOL (joke :) ) and ask why they can't get email. Another reason is that the other half of the mailing list has probably heard Sunshower, .wav or Radio. So, in fact, if you want to be a nice person to other SG fans, do all of us a fave. Send private mail to all the people who want an audio clip of it, before asking on SOMMS who wants it, not sending it without thinking of people like...me. :) I think that our probs are solved if we can just follow this simple rule. BTW: To all Canucks and Americans who have satellite TV's and watch MuchMusic, who thinks that Our Lady Peace's video for Automatic Flowers looks exactly of a Fell On Black Days video Rip-off...talk about creativity. http://www.muchmusic.com/muchmusic/events/favvids97/vote.html For your favourte SG Video and watch it on MucH! Kim would be good for Tool. He seems to have a similar guitar style in a way. Chris would be good in almost any rock band! He would make most bands better than they are since he has such a vocal range and great song writing. In the original post of "Other Bands". I have heard Eddie Vedder play with the Doors before. Chris Cornell could sound more like Jim Morrison than Eddie Vedder. Eddie Vedder doesn' have nearly as much vocal range as Chris. Don't get me wrong, Eddie Vedder is one of the best singers and has an amazing voice, but he doesn't have too much vocal range. Chris can sing anything. I bet he could even rap better than any rapper out there if he wanted to (God forbid). -----Original Message----- From: Gallagwar To: SOMMS@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Date: Sunday, December 07, 1997 11:28 AM Subject: Other bands! >I think Chris would sound good in any of those bands.
