And what do I see when I walk in the music shops door? A 1998 Soundgarden calander! had a look and it has no fewer then 8 months of chris shots :) while the other 4 months are band photo's. Mostly recent photo's around 96-97 by the looks, but some had chris with long hair from a bit earlier on. Well there you go, more stuff to go out and find now :) but at $16 I think I'll save for a-sides and buy the cd first. I was supprised, never seen a SG calander around, and here they break up and what do you know a calander turns up that I actually see. Oh it was right next to the spice girls too...geez seeya Lee ***** DEF FX/ GARBAGE/ SOUNDGARDEN/ SONIC YOUTH/ RHCP/ SPIDERBAIT/ MAGIC DIRT/ ATARI TEENAGE RIOT/ REPUBLICA/ GRAVELRASH/ PEARL JAM/ FREE KITTEN/ ANGELFISH/ ICQ UIN: 1592130 http://student.uq.edu.au/~ar303921 "I'm sorry I was cruel, I forgot to kiss you..... So I dont have the opperuinity to get some really cool Soundgarden stuff. I have been blessed with a vinal copy of Screaming Life. Here are the things I am looking for: FOPP on vinal, The Room A Thousand Years Wide 7", SOMMS, and Badmotorfinger on vinal. If you have any of these items, I am willing to trade or buy them from you. I dont have much to trade though. I have a couple Nirvana boots on CD that I could copy onto CD because one of my friends has a CD recorder. Or anything else you need onto CD. Thanks a lot! -Nick ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 1997 09:06:31 -0800 From: "S. Kutz" Subject: Re: A calander!!?! I'm not surprised to hear you saw that calendar, i've got it. my friend bought it for me for my birthday or something. i got annoyed with it though 'cos i felt so bad for everyone else in the band since there were freaking way too many shots of chris (not that i mind seeing him 8 months a year) sarah =) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 1997 19:13:43 -0500 From: Deborah Servey Subject: Re: new if anyone cares or wants to hear this...my best friend and I know Jeff Gilbert, journalist, etc., and friend of Kim Thayil...he says Kimster hasn't even touched a guitar since the break-up. reactions? Unfortunately, i'm not a huge sg fan like the rest of you, and, to be honest, the only reason i joined this list was to keep up with what the hell Chris, Ben, Matt and Kim are doing. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if any of them have released any albums or have joined any bands or done any thing substantial since April. Thanks! <<<<<<<< ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 1997 16:46:34 -0800 From: "S. I guess the immense popularity of some chick called Barbra (you figure who she is) pushed our beloved SG to...ummm... well...99. Yeah, in a way, I think its alright.....well, who am I kidding. It's AWFUL!! Anyway. On to follow up stuff. SG playing secret shows? Naw, we just got that post about Kim not touching a guitar since the breakup. Sure, Chris, Ben and Matt MIGHT get together, but I don't think they would be SG without Kim. Sorry guys, I ain't buying it. But it sure sounds cool :) ! Now back to Kim. I think that Kim just gave up. I seriously don't think that he wanted SG to break up. I think he thought this was an little break, but the rest of the band probably called it quits in 1994. Don't believe me? Get the SuperunInterview Promo that I got. Ben litterly says "Fuck it". But you guy's probably don't believe me. If you want, I'll make a .wav of it. Dave P.S. Do you guys think that SG still talks to each other? Except Ben & Matt, cause you know, they're like buds and all..... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 1997 17:59:01 -0800 From: "S. Kutz" Subject: Re: SG On Billboard...and more i bet they still talk. how could they not? (unless they actually don't like each other anymore!) i mean, they were together so many years that they must have liked each other to some extent. (y'know, picture them sitting around having a "family" dinner or something) but you know, considerng that they apparently signed off separately (am i correct on this fact? i only heard it thru the grapevine that they all quit separately and never really all met to decide) maybe they don't like each other anymore....i sure hope not. ending long friendships always sucks. =( sarah =) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Nov 1997 18:13:16 -0800 From: Laurie Casey Subject: Those damned secret shows! Okay, just to clarify, I said that *Chris* played a secret show, not that all the guys were together and playing.. I'm not sure if you went off on another topic or anything, but that was that. I'm crushed to hear that Kimmy hasnt touched his guitar though! He's so good.. and.. I just can bear the thought of it!! Well forget all of that. The only thing I NEED the bootleg "Freshly Dead Rarities", the one with all of the of the B-Sides. I want the original CD, not a copy. I will trade for it so please write back. -Nick ------------------------------ End of SOMMS Digest - 20 Nov 1997 to 21 Nov 1997 ************************************************
