On top of this, I saw Matt and Ben at a You Am I gig whilst they were here in Melbourne, and they both came out to watch You Am I's set at Festival Hall (Matt did air drums through majority of the set!). For all you guys sad about Susan's retirement: It does say on Seth's site that she's doing it to explore other opportunities. I'm looking forward to seeing what she's going to do next. :) Fiona ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Oct 1997 05:43:30 -0500 From: tonerkin Subject: Chris.....bring me the classified section! I think Susan's retirement notice has made us all "sad" again. It does seem to have a "this is truly over" feel to it. BUTT retirement does not mean "dead"! I realize that the older I get!!! It is a luxury to be able to shift gears and pursue other opportunities in your late 30's. Some of us our stuck in our jobs until they give us the cheap watch and kick our BUTTS out! Just think of the hell of a retirement party Susan can have!! Cool entertainment for sure!! Wish we could all go! When you are married to Chris Cornell who the hell do you get to jump out of the cake??? Anyone would be sort of anticlimactic!! Unless it was my retirement party and than Kim could do the honors! Frosting in his beard.....that's an interesting thought!! Good Luck Susan!! Thanks for the kindness you showed to me and some of the people on this list! And Good Luck to Erin and the ladies of Silver Management in their job searches! toni ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Oct 1997 15:43:08 -0500 From: Aladdin Hassanein Subject: Move on This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0039_01BCDF01.323AB1C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable "Nothing to say, I've got nothing to say Nothing but the one thing" (Nothing to Say, Screaming Life/Fopp) I really do have something to say. Jordan Snodgrass has been encoding like a maniac. But we need some more people involved. Any of you, especially with T1+ connections to the net could both contribute and benefit from this project. Not sure if this is a good idea? ftp://dipto.dorm.duke.edu See what the Dave Matthews mp3 project turned up? I aim to outdo them! But we need some more participation! Layne Stayley had his drugs problems whice almost put an end to AiC...Jerry Cantrell is off doin his own thing (not that i oppose i think its great) and pearl jam u never hear from...they're too cool to for the public and their fans....i knoe im not talking bout the smaller bands but im talking the originators of the Seattle scene......their popularity faded with time....but...i dont care im gonnna love Soundgarden AiC Nirvana and many other of those bands forever even if its not "cool" i dont care bout the goddamn popular bands (well if theyre good then i do care) id just like to say "They're too involved with the new transistion"-Daniel Johns. Kids dont know what Seattle has done for them....they just dont appreciate it...im young (17) but i know what im talking about.... trust me....i started listenin to soundgarden and the rest when i wuz 10. love rage harmony war Jill "if given everything i need, id give you everything i own" ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Oct 1997 17:19:19 -0400 From: Jenny Grover Subject: release date?
