I'm purely presuming here, but I'd say that Aaron realised that not
everyone would see the sarcasm in his post. For god's sake how can
you take seriously a post that tells you (among other things) to a)
"get the fuck off the list" if you can't spell a name correct and b)
to limit your smileys? If you took away all the in-your-face sarcasm
most of "Aaron's rules" were ones already implimented on SOMMS or just
pure netiquette.

Well the radio stations are now playing the first song from the Greatest
Hits.  It's "Bleed Together" and they are making a big deal out of the fact
that it is a song never released (in the US) before!!  It's just a bit
strange to hear it being played over the air ways - almost like a new
beginning instead of just a last gasp!!

Damn I miss the band...  :-(

I was just reading the Seattle Times online, and they have a commentary
on this year's  NXNW.  The whole article is interesting, but at the end
there is mention of Susan Silver (I hope this SG-enough related :).  If

   Yep, they are playing it here in Chicago also. I just heard it on my way
home from the store!  Sounded pretty damn good!  Sort of like someone lost
in the desert coming upon a Hinckley Schmidt truck!!! (that's a truck full
of H2O for those of you outside NA)
  Last weekend we had our  mini SOMMSfest here.  Life is good when you have
pitchers of Goose Island Honkers Ale and non-stop Soundgarden chat for
about 5 hours and than top it off with naked hootchie dancing until 3am
while Soundgarden video boots roll on the VCR!  Ben...jammin you just don't
know what you missed!!! (OK, so maybe you did know... that is why you
politely declined to come back to watch vids!!! :-O  )    toni

  I have recently figured out the entire guitar part to "Karaoke"!!!!  I
wanted to mail the list this because I also wrote it down and typed it
up, so if anybody wants it e-mail me because I would be more than happy
to send you a copy via e-mail.  You can post it on your web site or
whatever you want.
p.s.  It is a fun song to play and the bass part closely follows the
guitar part, so it would give bass players a good start.

As a side note, Ben Shepherd will be performing on the first three
Desert Sessions records, though the last three are as yet undecided.

retired and is closing the Silver Management office in Seattle. The
remains of the business will probably relocate to West Seattle to
handle Soundgarden and AIC administrative work, but Chris Cornell

What sad news! I guess maybe I can stop dreaming about Soundgarden
reforming. Not that there ever was a hope... This just seems like
another death knell.

On a brighter note: if anyone is keeping track of SOMMS owners, I found
a copy. I was also the high bidder on a second copy of SOMMS, so I'll soon
have two. If anyone is interested in buying the second copy, send me
