The CD came wrapped in brown paper duct-taped closed with a yellow and black "Soundgarden: Louder Than Live" sticker slapped on the front. The blue 12" had a picture of Kim Thayil's face on the label in the center. This album has actually been bootlegged on black vinyl, so look out. Genuine copies have the A&M logo on them. >> The vinyl also contains "Beyond The Wheel" and the CD also contains "Beyond The Wheel" and "Hunted Down". That is a reduced version of the artwork that iMusic put together for the A-Sides press release on the official website. It doesn't actually represent what will be on the album. I hust finished listening to Ave Maria and heard about the same as you. I agree with what you said about the "banished" line. I haven't listened to the last verse very closely yet. Lyndsay ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 16:13:06 -0400 From: Lyndsay Smith Subject: Launch I recently saw a Launch commercial on TV and it advertised the cd rom with Soundgarden on it. It also gave a number to subscribe. My question is will or can you get the previous issues, the one of Soundgarden, or will you just receive the upcoming issues. If anybody receives launch or knows more than me about it can inform me. I'd appreciate it. The only issue that I really want is the one of Soundgarden. Well, I was flipping channels today and that show on MTV (blahhh) called 12 Angry (people with nothing else to do but sit around and play Siskle and Ebert (sp) with videos) Viewers was on, but hey, I can't say much because I actually sat and watched 10 min. of it. Anyway, the point is this band came on called Days of New and they had this song and the lead singer had CC face fuzz and really blue eyes (they stood out like CC's) and he sorta sang like CC (well okay, to us no one compares to CC but to doofuses like these people, they thought so. He kinda had a mix of Lane Stanley/Chris Cornell sound to his voice) DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'M REFERING TO????? Anyway, the host was all, "He must have went to the Chris Cornell school of music" and one of the "viewers" said, "Soundgarden?? Didn't they break up?!?! and another "viewer" said, "It totally reminded me of Soundgarden" . Well they went on and on about SG and this video and the host was singing Spoonman and all. Anyway, I just wanted your imput on this if anyone else has seen this video/band. When I first heard the song, prior to this, I have to admit they did remind me slightly of SG and the lead singer does kinda (okay so I mean kinda in a very loose way) resemble a shabby CC. But then I just took a look at one of the many pics on my wall and that reminded me that no one else could even compare except maybe George but that's a whole other can of worms!! God forbid that MTV show any kind of SG video on that damn network. Let them all get some kind of really irritating rash that never goes away. Anyway, input is welcome. Forgive me and this post because I'm functioning on 4 hrs. of sleep and post mid-term stress. Ohhhh, I think that's quite enough babble out of me for one post. Take care and be sweet!!! Stay Cool, Kelly (C: P.S. Can you believe that no one around here has A Very Special Christmas 3 around here so I just get to read all of your praise of CC, but the gracious and total sweety Niki is going to get it for me!!! THANK YOU NIKI!!!! Do the world a favor, shoot a Spice Girl!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just from the start it's the end It's all the same in the end... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 1997 20:55:54 -0400 From: Rebekah Henderson Subject: Cool pics. I found some cool pics while surfing the net. There's a pic of our very own Kim Thayil with the one and only Jerry Cantrell at- http://crick.com/alex/people.html And there's a pic of all of SG at- http://www.rollingstone.com/images/gallery/seliger/sgrden.jpg Enjoy!!! :) May Soundgarden be with you. I actually am getting addicted to that show because I enjoy seeing people say "3rd Eye Blind is Warrant for the 90s, these guys need to go" :) Anyway, when I was watching that vid I was thinking Alice in Chains because the thought was kinda put into you head by Matt Pinfield (the same video was on Mattrock the other day) and the dude did kinda sound like Layne at times. Did you see that guitarist?! He rules! OK ONTO THE SG CONTENT!!! I did think that guy looked like a Badmotorfinger era Chris when they did the close ups but I didn't think the resemblance was good enough to actually mention. I'm glad someone else did. I was afraid I was coming down with chronic SG sydrome (you see Soundgarden in completely unrelated things). Other stuff: My site is currently under going a MAJOR overhaul of graphics and content. Its taken my several hours to revamp the graphics and the Soundgarden section (which I did first of course). I'm not gonna upload the thing until I finish overhauling the Metallica nd Megadeth sections (and the NEW Queensryche section woo hoo). OK enough about me and my page. The addys in my sig so check around Monday for new SG content.
