It's on the Club Lingerie boot. (There, 2 whole sentences, no smiley faces). I know, money is money and I should get over it. Fiona PS Aaron I've missed you :) oops, :( ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Oct 1997 09:30:16 -0700 From: Andrea Pinto Subject: Re: lanegan/shepherd? I'm not holding my breathe for a solo album, but I hope I'm wrong. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Oct 1997 18:24:53 +0100 From: Nigel Wilks Subject: Put another tick on the SOMMS list After years of searching , (it's pretty hard to do when you're stuck in the UK), I finally got Somms. I'm glad that my album collection is finally complete, but was disappointed with the contents. Any of you out there that have got SOMMS think the same ? So Mr Kleemola if your still maintaining the list add Nigel Wilks to it. Just because it is > Soundgarden's biggest hit song, and it was extremely overplayed, it doesn't too true, many of us, ie in australia, never had the opportunity to hear SG before the BHS days and so BHS really introduced the many wonders of SG to us. it is a great song in its own right, success doesnt make it bad. as for SG unplugged, it could be a great final success for a great band. the really heavy rocking songs can be played accoustically too, you only have to hear AIC's rooster to know this. that whole album was totally different yet still great. STP did one too that worked just as well but i dont think that got released as an album. i only saw it on rage rob ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Oct 1997 08:33:01 -0700 From: McMahon Potvin Subject: NON-AMERICANS, PLEASE READ... Here goes.... Now that non-americans (a big part of the list) (those for whom english is not their native language/don'T have a good written english) have been OFFICIALLY LABELED (by some appointed fool) UNWELCOMED to the somms list, i suggest that we leave. After a year and a half, I've finally had enough of this shit. I have NEVER seen a list full of people so intolerant. Fellow INTERNATIONAL sommsters, it is now time to leave this stupid childish list. Failing to act now will only delay the inevitable... Lets give what Seth, Aaron, Caryn, Shroom, and many others what they want: the list they had "before". We've been told to "go away", well lets do it and leave the people mentioned above in their little world... soundgarden can be discussed in many other ways than the somms list. Seth, as long as your "Sherrifs" keep oppressing list members, it just won't work. Just let the list be for cryin out loud... of course, a lot of post content pissed me off too, but i just can't sit here and tolerate being told to just "go away" without doing it... Thanks for what was, and still is, a great list. With people with no sense of respect (thinking of aaron) runnin the list, i doubt it will remain a great list... Have a good day. Hard-headed, fuck you all. This email is for anyone (especially seth) who may know about contacting the big-assed corporate folks in record companies, etc. I'm trying to get information on an artist(let's say his name is "Tiger W.") He is supposedly at Sony Music/Columbia Records. All I have done so far is email Columbia Records, but I'm having the damndest time trying to contact these people--I think I'm doing this the wrong way anyway. So, can anyone out there give me some tips? Remember that SOMMSfest was eventually arranged through contacts...email me privately, please. I DO NOT wish for responses to be on the SOMMS list.
