Wild hair and shirt open. Only 2 photo's inside the book of Soundgarden, one of them being goofy :) and another slightly more serious picture. Rest of the book is filled with photo's of different bands and a short note about them. And I found Hempilation again and TOTD was on clearance for 5.99. But the first thing I found was Sub Pop 200.. I'm not sure how "special" this is for collectors but I was happy to see it. Not only that, behing Sub Pop 200 there was the box of it.. It was also Sub Pop 200, but it had extra stuff and it came in the big black box (I'm not sure if it's right to say box set but it was a box)! I was soo excited! Has anyone heard of the box of Sub Pop? I read the label and it said that it was the re-release of Sub Pop 200 with added content inside. Most of the SG albums are in the sale section ranging from 2.99-6.99.. and in the SG section they added SO much! There are tons of copies of SL/F and then they have the special little singles that they put out.. Speaking of singles, in the Sale section I found one of the My Wave singles for 5.99, with the brand new wrapping.. I doubt if it was used.. It's got Birth Ritual on it if that helps determine which one it is.. I'll have to go back there.. But instead I spent my money on a clearance used copy of Pearl Jam's Ten. It's real good, of course. Any question... about Flyin' Traps, when is/was the release date? I thought that it was already out but I wasn't sure so I asked the guy at the store anyways if they had it and it's not in their system.. Well, I visited that voting website and I'm speechless... you can vote if you want, but I dunno.. it's u'r decision. I personally will do it because it's fun, but that won't help all 7 positions of SG in the 7 categories.. and Kim and Ben aren't even on the list for best guitarist/bassist... Chris is on there of course and so is Matt. The albums I saw were Badmotofinger and Superunknown.. and SG is there for best writers or something.. Well, see-ya! -Maria ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Oct 1997 18:13:12 -0400 From: Maria Joseph Subject: KRoQ I was at Seth's and I saw this amazing pic of the band. (anyone have a copy of Screaming life/FLOPP? hehe) i guess if these 'laws' were in place then, the few members would have been flamed and discouraged from posting again.. or kicked of the list, if you had your way, Aaron.. think about where this list would be then.. apart from the things i've whined about, it's just common sense.. i hope all of us on the list will keep our own identities and continue to show our emotions (do smiley faces) where needed.. it might seem like a sort of silly thing to complain about, but someone has to stand up for individuality on the list.. hope i haven't wasted anyone's time.. thankk youuuu :) - a smilin' koggy - ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Oct 1997 20:30:28 -0400 From: Leia Rose Subject: Re: Rules, rules, and more rules. They mean different things to different people, so everyone kinda relates to them in their own personal way. like Kim said, the lyrics are quotable and incredibly beautiful. This is a preposterous idea. I hate all-chick bands, because all they do is wear little skirts and shake their boobs around to cover up their lack of musicianship. (Of course, cool bands like Seven Year Bitch and The Gits aren't included in this group . I prefer to think of them as bands in which all the members just happen to be women. It's different than chick bands.) Who would Chris recruit for this anyway? The house band from The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show? They are your typical chick band: they wear tight skirts and know, maybe three or four chords. Chris should just audition some musicians and choose the best, regardless of sex. I'm pretty sure that this chick band thing is just something made up on the internet, or something Chris said as a wiseass. Still, it's one of the most frightening things I've heard in a while. By the way, does anyone know if Wellwater Conspiracy's new album is out on vinyl? I just picked up Smashing Pumpkins' "Gish" on vinyl, but I didn't see WWC or SG there. If you misspell any of the band members names (it's Shepherd people, NOT >Shepperd) get the fuck off the list. This brings me back to the whole, "my hand slipped" thing, but come on people you really should know better if it wasn't a mistake. >8. If you put more than 2 smiley's in your post, THINK AGAIN and take them >the hell out. After all, they were known as "Frowngarden" in some circles. I have to agree w/ the Koggle. Smiley faces are not my forte, although Elvis likes to show his face every once in a while, but there shouldn't be a limit, especially if it is compared to the band....."Frowngarden," and we should all be depressed because they are or were at some point in time? I feel that smiley faces express emotion, which they do, if someone is excited about finding a boot or meeting Matt why should they hold back the number of smiles they share? What are you (general public I mean) gonna do, "steal that smile from their face?" I do not want to disrupt order, or flame, I am in agreement of the order, but not slavery. And sorry if I tore apart the things that Aaron said, but it might just have been an eye opener for any of you. Well I believe that I have re-read this post, I'm not sure about the speel checking, hehehe, but I believe it's good enough for all the eyes that have graced it. 10-4, Roger Wilco, Aye Aye, Copy, Over and Out and all that jazz........
